Korn Ferry Tour - Veritex Bank Championship
Morning thunderstorms delayed the start of Sunday’s final round by five hours, but they hardly deterred Tim Widing’s patience. By the end of the 10th hole, another Widing (pronounced VEE-ding) victory felt inevitable.
A second win in as many weeks would assuredly be his. The only unknowns were how low Widing would go, and which records the 26-year-old Swede would break as he pulled away from the field at the Veritex Bank Championship.
Even with two bogeys in the final round, Widing carded an 8-under 63 and totaled 31-under 253 for a four-stroke victory. Widing birdied three of the final four holes Sunday, including a record-breaking birdie at the par-5 18th which broke the Korn Ferry Tour record for the lowest 72-hole score relative to par.
Widing’s total score of 253 marked the second-lowest 72-hole score in Korn Ferry Tour history, only behind Stephan Jaeger’s 30-under 250 from the 2016 Ellie Mae Classic at TPC Stonebrae.
“Monday night I was still just trying to soak in what I just did last week,” Widing said. “Of course I want to run it back and win again, but I was just still over the moon from my win last week. I told the guys yesterday I was just playing better, relaxed, and having a lot of fun out there on the course, and I think that helped a lot with the nerves, especially today.”

DP World Tour & Japan Golf Tour - ISPS HANDA CHAMPIONSHIP
Yuto Katsuragawa bolstered Japan's dominance on the DP World Tour this season by winning the ISPS HANDA Championship, becoming the second consecutive Japanese player and third overall to claim victory in the European flagship circuit.
The 25-year-old Katsuragawa rallied from a three-shot deficit in the final round, firing an impressive seven-under-par 63 to secure a three-shot victory over Sweden's Sebastian Soderberg.
Katsuragawa kept bogeys at bay as he snared seven birdies at the Taiheiyo Club Gotemba Course, including five on the back nine, to finish the week at 17-under 263. This victory marks Katsuragawa's second JGTO triumph, coming two years after his initial win- which incidentally also took place at the same tournament.
The significant distinction this time lies in the ISPS HANDA Championship's joint sanctioning with the DP World Tour, granting Katsuragawa coveted direct membership to the European circuit. Katsuragawa was delighted to accept the membership and is now ready to embark on another journey abroad after completing one full season on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2023.
"I have been practising a lot to stand on the big stage, I can now go on the DP World Tour which is really great and I'm really happy with it. I'm aiming to become a member of the PGA TOUR in the future."

Challenge Tour - UAE Challenge
Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen held his nerve to secure a second Challenge Tour title in three events in the UAE Challenge at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club. The Dane began the final round three strokes behind overnight leader Wilco Nienaber but fired seven birdies on his way to a five under par final round of 67 to finish 14 under par for the week, one stroke ahead of Nienaber in second place.
The 24-year-old, who arrived in the UAE after clinching a maiden professional win at last month’s Kolkata Challenge, was delighted with how he played throughout the week to make sure of victory.
“I feel incredible,” he said. “I knew I had a chance going into today, but being able to put together a great round and get it done in the end feels amazing.
“I got off to a really good start in the first round, played pretty good in the second round, but I’m most proud of my third round. It was probably the best round of two under par I’ve ever played.
“This is all still new to me. Right now I just want to enjoy this win.”

PGA Tour Americas - Diners Club Peru Open
Stuart Macdonald won the Diners Club Peru Open on Sunday after carding a 1-under 71 in the final round. Macdonald climbs into the No. 3 spot in the Fortinet Cup season-long standings after securing his second career PGA TOUR-sanctioned win at Los Inkas Golf Club.
This is the second time that Macdonald has been victorious in Peru. As an amateur, the Vancouver native won the 29th Lima Golf Club International Amateur Championship in 2017. Macdonald is the first Canadian to win the Diners Club Peru Open since it became a PGA TOUR Sanctioned event in 2012.
Prior to 2024, Macdonald was one of the most consistent performers on PGA TOUR Latinoamerica in 2023. Macdonald did not miss the cut and only finished outside of the top-25 once in eight starts, including a T14 finish at the 2023 Diners Club Peru Open.
Macdonald carried that momentum to PGA TOUR Canada in 2023. In six starts, Macdonald finished with three top-20 finishes and only missed the cut once. Macdonald’s best finish came at the 2023 Commissionaires Ottawa Open, where he defeated Devon Bling and Luke Schniederjans in a playoff to claim his first PGA TOUR-sanctioned win. Macdonald picked up a second top-five finish at the 2023 Windsor Championship, where he finished T2.

ProGolf Tour - Haugschlag NÖ Open by perfect eagle
Jean Bekirian is the winner of the Haugschlag NÖ Open by perfect eagle 2024. The Frenchman, who had landed among the top ten in five of the first six tournaments of the current season, also found his top form at the Haugschlag Resort in Lower Austria. On an exciting final day with several lead changes, the 21-year-old ultimately prevailed with a two-stroke lead over Yente van Doren (Belgium). Third place was secured by James Meyer de Beco (also from Belgium). Bekirian, who struggled on the Challenge Tour last year but missed retaining his status, celebrated his fourth victory on the Pro Golf Tour.
Bekirian started the third round tied for the lead with compatriot Claude Churchward and German Michael Hirmer. Nine other players were within three strokes of the leading trio. Therefore, it was not surprising that the final of the first tournament on the European continent this season was characterized by many changes at the top. Hirmer had the best start, before Slovenian Tadeas Tetak took over, who was shortly after joined by German top amateur Carl Siemens. Then came the impressive surge from van Doren, who recorded two birdies and an eagle at the beginning of the back nine, and at one point even managed to put two strokes between himself and the pursuers.
However, the Belgian's attempt to break away was not successful, as Bekirian gradually found his rhythm after a cautious start to the round. Five birdies between holes eight and 14 brought him back to the top, before three pars and a closing birdie sealed the victory. In the end, the recipient of the winner's check amounting to 5,000 euros recorded scores of 66, 67, and 65 strokes over the three rounds (total -15).

Alps Tour Golf - Tunisian Golf Open
Italy’s Gianmaria Rean Trinchero, 28, wins his second Alps Tour title at the 2024 Tunisian Golf Open. He was tied for 5th place after yesterday’s round 2, and today, he shot a 3 under-par 69 to conclude the tournament with a three-day total of 10 under-par.
During yesterday’s round 2, Rean Trinchero shot a 9 under-par, 63 and now holds the new course record of La Cigale Tabarka Golf which was previously held by Jon Robson during the 1995 Challenge Tour event with a score of 7 under-par. In today’s final round, he made 2 birdies on the opening front nine holes and then 2 more birdies on the back nine before ending his round with a bogey on the 18th hole.
He has been playing professional golf since 2020 and earned his 1st Alps Tour title at the 2023 Fred Olsen Alps de La Gomera. After his win, Rean Trinchero’s first reaction were;
“I’m very happy about this victory. Today was tough out there, the wind was blowing strong from the 1st hole, the conditions were way tougher than yesterday which I played in the morning with no wind. I’m very happy about the entire week, my game was in great conditions. I hit my shots all very well, I found the fairways, found the greens, and hit my putts super well. I want to thank the Alps Tour, the hotel La Cigale, and especially my team and sponsors. I want to thank Camilla, my fiancée and putting coach. Giovanni and Leonardo who are also part of my team and Silvia, my main sponsor, without you this would be impossible so thank you very much. I also want to thank the Tunisian Federation for hosting us.”
Ireland’s Alex Maguire, 23, who is competing in his 1st season as a professional player as he turned pro at the beginning of 2024, shot a final round of 4 under-par, 68 to conclude the tournament in 2nd place at 9 under-par. He made 3 birdies on his opening front nine and then a bogey on the 10th and 11th hole before making 4 birdies in a row from hole 12 to hole 15 and closing his round with a bogey on the par 3, 17th hole.

Nordic Golf League - Bravo Tours Open by Enjoy Resorts
Jens Kristian Thysted from Smørum had chosen the right day to find his good game. On Friday he went to the final round of Bravo Tours Open by Enjoy Resorts on Rømø in 68 (-4), claiming victory by 2 shots for his first on the ECCO Tour.
Thysted was previously part of the Danish national team and won the DM in battle games in 2022, but became a professional in early 2024. Already in its first start as a professional, in ECCO Tour Polish Masters, it became an 8th place. Thysted has managed the cut in all its four starts this year at the Nordic Golf League, and with the victory today he moved up to number 11 on Golfbox Road to Europe.
Thysted was not even part of the driver's ball, which consisted of Oskar Ambrosius, Alexander George Frances and Frederik Tøttenborg. Thysted was out in the third last group and looked long to get through today's final round without a bogey on the map. On the last hole, however, he had to collect a bogey, and he ended up with a total score of -7.
