PGA Tour - Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard
Golf showed itself to be an endearing paradox once again because by embracing the game’s inherent imperfections, Scheffler put on a flawless display in the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard. He won by five strokes – the largest winning margin here since Tiger Woods in 2012 – and collected his first PGA TOUR win since last year’s PLAYERS Championship. Scheffler’s ball-striking was up to the record-setting standard he’s shown over the past year, and the putter finally served as the perfect complement.
Add it all up and Scheffler was unstoppable. The final round from Bay Hill Club & Lodge was devoid of drama shortly after he made the turn. His final-round 66 was the low round of the day by two shots and he was the only player to go bogey-free Sunday. Only three other players broke 70 in the final round when Bay Hill played to a 73.2 scoring average. By finishing at 15-under 273 (70-67-70-66), Scheffler finished five shots ahead of runner-up Wyndham Clark, the reigning U.S. Open champion who already claimed one Signature Event in 2024.
This week, Scheffler led the field in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green, SG: Off-the-Tee and was second in Greens in Regulation. He also was first in SG: Around-the-Green. Scheffler’s performance in SG: Putting was the most newsworthy of all the numbers. He ranked fifth for the week, finishing in the top five of this metric for just the third time in his career.
After a year in which Scheffler’s struggles with the putter were thrust into the spotlight, it was a welcome sight.
“This one's pretty special,” Scheffler said Sunday evening. “It had been a while since I won. … There had been a lot of chatter about my game and the state of where it was at, so it was nice to kind of come in here with a good mental attitude and to perform well under pressure and I think today's round was really special for me going forward.”

Sunshine Tour & DP World Tour - Jonsson Workwear Open
Matteo Manassero ended his near 11-year wait for a fifth DP World Tour title with an emotional triumph at the Jonsson Workwear Open. The Italian has experienced all the highs and lows that golf has to offer since becoming the DP World Tour's youngest winner at the age of 17 years and 188 days at the 2010 Castelló Masters Costa Azahar - a record he still holds.
When he lifted the trophy at the 2013 BMW PGA Championship for a fourth victory in as many seasons, he had the golfing world at his feet and it seemed impossible to think he would not win on the DP World Tour for another 3,942 days.
But five years later he found himself without full playing privileges and in the 18 starts he got in 2019, he made just a single cut, while also taking a brief break from golf completely. A win on the Alps Tour in 2020 served as a boost to his confidence and last season he won twice on the European Challenge Tour to reclaim his card after five years away.
On Friday at Glendower Golf Club, he shot the lowest round of his career with a 61 to take the lead but the job was far from done, with five players holding at least a share of the top spot on the back nine in round four.
"This is the best day of my life on a golf course for sure," said Manassero, who finished his round with four birdies. "It's been a crazy journey over the last couple of years. I knew that I was getting on the right track but then you never know.”

Korn Ferry Tour - Astara Chile Classic presented by Scotiabank
Taylor Dickson earned his first Korn Ferry Tour title Sunday at the Astara Chile Classic presented by Scotiabank, defeating Trey Winstead with a par on the first playoff hole at Prince of Wales Country Club in Santiago, Chile.
Dickson, 31, began the final round in 10th place, seven strokes back of Winstead, but the North Carolina native rallied with a 6-under 66 to post the clubhouse lead at 17-under 271. Winstead, a Korn Ferry Tour rookie, closed in 1-over 73 to match that number and force extra holes. Dickson got up and down from a greenside bunker for par on the first playoff hole, the par-5 18th, and won after Winstead – who incurred a penalty on his tee shot – couldn’t save par from 20 feet.
Garett Reband and Matt McCarty shared third place at 16 under, one stroke outside the playoff.
With the win, Dickson moves to No. 6 on the season-long Korn Ferry Tour Points List, well positioned to earn his first PGA TOUR card. The top 30 after the season-ending Korn Ferry Tour Championship by United Leasing & Finance will earn 2025 PGA TOUR membership.
“Just kind of shocked,” Dickson said afterward. “Waiting around and went to a playoff and got the job done; it's still surreal.
“It’s unbelievable … I didn't know I would win this quick. I always knew I could, but believing and doing it or two different things, and it's surreal.”

PGA Tour - Puerto Rico Open
Brice Garnett holed a 15-foot birdie putt on the fourth playoff hole Sunday to win the Puerto Rico Open in his first tournament of the year, sending him to THE PLAYERS Championship next week and giving him PGA TOUR status for the next three years. Garnett closed with a 3-under 69 at Grand Reserve Golf Club, getting back in the game with consecutive birdies on the 13th and 14th and then saving par on the 18th in regulation.
Erik Barnes closed with a 68, also saving par on the 18th. They finished at 19-under 269. Both had their chances in the playoff, each time on the 630-yard closing hole. Garnett missed a 12-foot birdie putt for the win on the first extra hole. Barnes holed a 15-foot birdie putt on the second playoff hole, with Garnett matching him from 6 feet.
Barnes narrowly missed from 12 feet after Garnett's birdie on the fourth playoff hole. Garnett was emotional when it was over, and it's easy to understand why. He won in the Dominican Republic in 2018 for his only PGA TOUR victory, but he fell outside the top 150 last year and was reduced to having low status.
The Puerto Rico Open was held as an Additional Event the same week as the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard. Garnett referred to it as his “Augusta,” so important because it would give him a chance to pick up FedExCup points. It worked out better than he could imagine.
The victory comes with a two-year exemption — the rest of 2024 on the PGA TOUR, plus the next two years. Along with THE PLAYERS Championship next week and its $25 million purse, Garnett is in the PGA Championship, and he starts next year in Kapalua for The Sentry.
“It's huge,” he said. “I was so excited for the opportunity to compete out here again. I get three more years on this Tour, some events I get in. There was really a lot of unknowns this year."

Professional Golf Tour of India - Glade One presents Gujarat Open Golf Championship
Karnal’s Mani Ram returned a last round of 73 to finish runner-up at a total of six-under 210. The first two rounds of the tournament comprised nine holes each. The third and fourth rounds comprised 18 holes each. The tournament was played over a total of 54 holes. The par for the course in the third and fourth rounds was 72. The 9-hole course was played twice in rounds three and four with different pin positions.
Abhinav Lohan (34-36-70-69), lying overnight tied fifth and five shots off the lead, had a dream outing at Glade One on Saturday as he came up with an ace on the 16th that turned the tide in his favour and helped him seize his third career title and first in four years.
The 34-year-old Lohan started the day with a bogey but came back with some good wedge shots on the fifth and eighth that produced birdies. On the 13th he narrowly missed a hole-in-one and had to settle for a birdie. Abhinav then suffered a setback on the 14th where he made a three-putt and dropped a bogey. This was followed by the game-changer hole-in-one on the 16th that helped Lohan leapfrog all his rivals except the leader Mani Ram who later stumbled with a quadruple-bogey on the 17th that saw Abhinav emerge champion.

Gira de Golf Professional Mexicana - Wipa's Open
After two years as a member of the Mexican Professional Golf Tour (GGPM), the Canadian Sebastian Szirmak obtained his first victory on the national circuit by taking over the tiebreaker of the Wipa´s Open, tournament that had as its stage the Los Tabachines Golf Club and that distributed a bag of one million 800 thousand pesos.
At the end of the final round, Szirmak as well as the Venezuelan Manuel Torres and the Mexican José de Jesús “ Camarón ” Rodríguez recorded a score of 198 strokes, 15 under par, which motivated a playoff in which the Toronto native was more precise than his rivals when leaving 18th with a par, sealing his win and his prize of 300 thousand pesos.
“ It is an honor for me to obtain my first victory as a professional in this Tour and especially in this field ”, said Szirmak, 33, a resident of Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo. “ It was very exciting to win in the playoff. It was a very intense ending, fortunately I hit him very well from the tee, not so my colleagues, At that moment I knew that I had an advantage that I took advantage of to get very close to the flag, obviously that was a lot of pressure for them, which was enough to win ”.
