PGA Tour - THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson

Scottie Scheffler put on a dominant display at his hometown event, THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson, securing an emphatic eight-shot victory and matching the PGA TOUR's 72-hole scoring record. The world number one finished on a remarkable 31-under par, carding a final round of 63 to reach a total of 253. This equals the record previously set by Justin Thomas in 2017 and Ludvig Åberg in 2023.

Despite a late bogey on the 17th and a par on the last, Scheffler's performance throughout the tournament at TPC Craig Ranch was exceptional. His wire-to-wire victory makes him the first player to do so at this event since Tom Watson 45 years ago. South Africa's Erik van Rooyen finished runner-up at 23-under, with fellow American Sam Stevens in third. Local favourite Jordan Spieth also impressed with a final round of 62, finishing in fourth place.

Scheffler's victory breaks the previous tournament scoring record of 259, set in 2015. This is his first win of the year and his 14th career PGA TOUR title. He missed the event last year due to the birth of his son, Bennett, who he celebrated with after his historic win. Despite narrowly missing the chance to hold the scoring record outright, Scheffler's achievement marks a significant moment in his career and in the history of THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson.

Korn Ferry Tour - Tulum Championship at PGA Riviera Maya

Bryson Nimmer has secured his first victory on the Korn Ferry Tour after defeating Canadian Stuart Macdonald in a sudden-death playoff. Nimmer carded a final round of four-under 68, which included seven birdies and three bogeys, to finish at nine-under par 279. This score tied him with Macdonald, who holed out for a birdie on the final regulation hole (par-4 18th) to force the playoff after a three-under 69.

The playoff went to the second extra hole (the par-4 18th again), where Nimmer made par to clinch the win after Macdonald recorded a bogey. This victory marks the seventh first-time winner on the Tour this season.

Nimmer's journey to victory included advancing through both the First and Second Stages of the 2024 PGA TOUR Q-School to earn conditional status for the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour season. This win now secures him fully exempt status for the remainder of the 2025 and the entire 2026 Korn Ferry Tour seasons.

Asian Tour & KPGA Tour - The 44th GS Caltex Maekyung Open Golf Championship

South Korean Doyeob Mun pulled off a stunning victory at the GS Caltex Maekyung Open, carding a remarkable bogey-free eight-under-par 63 in the final round. Starting the day six shots off the lead and playing several groups ahead, Mun's incredible back nine, featuring six birdies including four in a row from the 11th, propelled him to a three-shot win over Thailand's Jazz Janewattananond and fellow Koreans Baekjun Kim and Junghwan Lee.

Mun posted his ten-under-par total with two hours left to play, leaving him in suspense as the final groups battled it out. Janewattananond faltered on the back nine, missing crucial birdie opportunities and bogeying the last. Canada's Yonggu Shin briefly moved within one shot of Mun but dropped a shot on the 17th before a disastrous ten on the final hole.

Mun's charge was rapid, moving from one shot behind Janewattananond after his fourth consecutive birdie to joining him in the lead before securing the outright victory with a birdie on the par-four 18th. His superb approach to six feet set up one of only three birdies on that challenging hole all day.

"I couldn’t be happier to be on top of the leaderboard in a tournament I’ve always wanted to win," said Mun, whose home club is Namseoul. This marks his first Asian Tour title and his fourth victory on the Korean PGA Tour.

PGA Tour Americas - Diners Club Peru Open

American golfer Hunter Wolcott has claimed his first professional title at the Diners Club Peru Open, overcoming a second-round penalty and a challenging final round to triumph at Los Inkas Golf Club. Wolcott carded a final round of three-under 69 to finish two strokes ahead of overnight leader David Perkins.

The 27-year-old started the final day one shot behind Perkins and endured a shaky start with a double bogey on his opening hole. A two-over front nine saw him fall five shots adrift. However, Wolcott displayed remarkable resilience, carding a bogey-free back nine with five birdies, including a crucial one on the par-three 17th, to seize the lead after Perkins stumbled with a double bogey. A steady par on the final hole secured the victory for Wolcott.

Adding to the drama, Wolcott had been handed a one-stroke penalty during the second round for a breach of the PGA TOUR Americas' pace of play policy. Reflecting on this setback, Wolcott said he was "very thankful that I was able to turn the page and turn that energy into focus."

The win propels Wolcott to fourth in the Fortinet Cup standings and grants him exempt status on PGA TOUR Americas for the remainder of the 2025 season and through the Latin America Swing in 2026. This marks Wolcott's fourth year as a professional, and his victory continues a family tradition of golfing success, with his father Bob having played on the PGA TOUR. Wolcott is now expected to compete at the Bupa Championship in Mexico City next week.

Japan Golf Tour - The Crowns

Yosuke Asaji has broken a four-year title drought on the Japan Golf Tour Organisation (JGTO) with a narrow one-shot victory at The Crowns.

The drama unfolded at Nagoya Golf Club as Asaji, 31, carded a final round one-under-par 69 to finish on a seven-under-par total of 273. The win wasn't secured until the very last hole, where a bogey for Asaji was still enough to clinch the title after both Hiroshi Iwata and Yusaku Miyazato narrowly missed birdie putts that would have forced a sudden-death playoff.

An emotional Asaji reflected on his difficult journey, saying, "Over the past four years, almost nothing went right for me, so when I thought back on that, the tears just came—even though I'm not the type to cry. It was just overwhelming." He added, "This win felt completely different from the others. Even though I should know how to win by now, I felt nervous, almost like it was my first victory. Honestly, I was just really happy today."

Iwata and Miyazato finished tied for second place. Kohei Okada and Takanori Konishi both shot 71 to tie for fourth. Filipino golfer Juvic Pagunsan was the only international player to finish in the top ten, ending the week in a tie for sixth at the JPY 110,000,000 event.

All Thailand Golf Tour - Singha Chiang Mai Open

Sahasawat Ariyachatvekin, nicknamed "Pro Park," has clinched his first professional victory with a commanding performance at the Singha Chiang Mai Open 2025. The 25-year-old All Thailand Golf Tour rookie finished with a total score of 16-under par at Mae Jo Golf Resort & Spa, securing the title in the event held from May 1st to 4th, 2025.

Sahasawat, who started the final round one stroke behind the leader, carded a final round of six-under par, including six birdies, to claim the winner's cheque of 450,000 baht and valuable world ranking points. Local favourite Thayan Limpipolpaibul finished in second place at 14-under par, while Worayut Rattanapaiboonkij took third place with a score of 13-under par.

Remarkably, Sahasawat was tied for 81st place after an opening round of two-over par before firing consistent six-under rounds for the remaining three days. Speaking after his victory, Sahasawat noted his comfort playing at the Mae Jo course and credited his short game and putting for his success. He admitted the win came sooner than expected and expressed his intention to continue developing his game and maintaining consistency throughout the rest of the season.

This victory marks a significant milestone for Sahasawat, who was also recognised as the best amateur at the same event in July last year. He earned his place on the All Thailand Golf Tour for 2025 after winning the qualifying school in December.

ProGolf Tour - Haugschlag NÖ Open by perfect eagle

Nicolas Horder from Munich celebrated his first professional win on the Pro Golf Tour at the Haugschlag NÖ Open by perfect eagle 2025. The 25-year-old carded a flawless final round of 65 to clinch the title by a single shot over Welshman Owen Edwards.

The tournament at Golfresort Haugschlag saw a tight contest, with nine players within two strokes of the lead heading into the final nine holes. However, Horder remained steady, picking up birdies throughout his bogey-free round, including his final one on the 16th hole. Despite pressure from Edwards, who started the day as leader, Horder held on for the victory.

"I'm really, really happy," said Horder, who impressively bounced back from recent missed cuts in Egypt. "Today I was mentally focused from the first shot and stuck to my game plan." He added that "almost everything clicked" in his final round, hitting every fairway and making crucial putts.
