DP World Tour - Alfred Dunhill Links Championship
Matt Fitzpatrick enjoyed double delight at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship as a closing 66 at St Andrew's clinched the individual title and helped him take team honours alongside mum Susan. The Englishman had been sat on the lead for two days after torrential rain saw the weekend washed out and the event was pushed to Monday and reduced to 54 holes.
Excellent scoring conditions greeted the field across St Andrews, Kingsbarns and Carnoustie but nobody could get past Fitzpatrick, who reached 19 under to win by three shots from countrymen Marcus Armitage and Matthew Southgate and defending champion Ryan Fox.
In the team event, Susan contributed three birdies and an eagle in a 59 that got the pair to 35 under and sealed a five-shot triumph. Fitzpatrick becomes just the second player to do the individual and team double after Pádraig Harrington in 2002 and 2006, while Susan becomes the second female winner at this event, following Maeve Danaher who won alongside Michael Hoey two years ago.
"It doesn't get better than this," he said. "Winning at St Andrews, it's just a very special place. We've been coming here for a long, long time as well and it doesn't get better. We played last year and didn't quite play so well and this year she's played fantastic, and I played really solid as well. You just couldn't ask for a better week”
"It's amazing. Winning is difficult. I had a chance a few weeks ago in Switzerland and that one hurt a lot. I felt like I had been playing better than I had in the summer. "This week, it's funny, really, it was kind of a bit of a free-wheeling week and just playing with my mum and trying to enjoy it as best I can and see what happened. Then played really well at Carnoustie and just got on a hot run these last two rounds."

PGA Tour - Sanderson Farms Championship
A five-man playoff in the fall could have meant a next-day finish. It was a last-minute thing to even have the playoff to begin with after a missed 8-footer on the final hole brought four guys who thought they were out of it back very much into it. Then there was Luke List.
List had a 45-foot birdie try in the first playoff hole at the Sanderson Farms Championship. Someone had to step up and do it, right? Turns out, it was him. He drained it. A winner, again. Able to celebrate in Mississippi with his family – wife Chloe and two kids Ryann and Harrison.
List, now 38, is the first to admit that he’s not that young anymore. Fifteen years older than Ludvig Åberg, who was one of the five in the playoff at The Country Club of Jackson. But thanks to the ongoing and ever-loving support of his family, and especially his wife, he feels like he still has some good golf left.
“I think all my emotion kind of came out after that putt, and then it was just shock, really, still. But to have them there means everything. The last one my son was a little smaller and he's starting to get into golf a little bit. But just my wife, she's incredible, and her steadiness and perseverance to keep me level and positive is a job in itself,” List said.
“It’s just tough sometimes backing myself, and she's always got my back. It was really special having her and my kids here.”

Japan Golf Tour - ACN Championship Golf Tournament
Yuki Inamori emerged as the inaugural winner of the ACN Championship Golf Tournament, defeating South Korea's Song Young-han on the first playoff hole at the Sanko Golf Club on Sunday. A par on the par-four 18th hole secured Inamori his first JGTO victory of the season and his fifth overall. Both he and the in-form Song completed the final round on 17-under-par 271.
Starting the day two shots adrift of overnight leader Shugo Imahira, Inamori surged to the top of the leaderboard, posting a six-under 66 that included seven birdies. His sole bogey came on the 18th, preventing an outright tournament victory and leading to a playoff, which was played on the same hole. Song, delivering a stellar bogey-free 66, matched him to force the tiebreaker.
During the playoff, although Song's opening shot landed in a bunker, Inamori couldn't capitalise on it as his second shot also found a bunker to the right of the green. However, Inamori displayed resilience, placing his following shot within approximately one meter, and then sinking a crucial putt.
"I took lessons from that earlier bogey and ensured I got things right this time," remarked Inamori, who hadn't clinched a title since his victory at the Japan Players Championship by Sato Syokuhin the previous May.

Korn Ferry Tour - Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance
It was a dramatic day at Victoria National Golf Club, as players oscillated in and out of the top 30 bubble of the Korn Ferry Tour Points List. Caddies scrutinized their phones, refreshing the leaderboard and doing mental math. Thirty PGA TOUR cards were solidified after the play ended.
One man was completely disconnected. Paul Barjon picked up his second win of the season and cruised to a three-shot win with a final-round 68 at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance. He moved from No. 45 to No. 8 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List, cementing a spot in the top 30 for a PGA TOUR return.
"I think the last time I looked at the PGA TOUR app was a couple of nights ago I think, and I looked at 30th, I think I'm about 700 points and I think it was like basically have to score 150 points or so, which I figured it would be somehow in the top five," explained Barjon after the final round. "As you said, I'm not sure exactly what I had to do, but I was like if you finish in the top five, you'll probably give yourself a good chance.
"I didn't look at the leaderboard all day and I told my caddie, let me know if I need to do anything crazy. ... he told me no, you're fine, you've got a couple to spare."
The Texas Christian University alum opened the tournament with pedestrian rounds of 72-70, then shot an 8-under 64 on Saturday – tying for the best round of the day – to vault into the lead. He solidified his lead with birdies on Nos. 1, 3 and 6 and then bounced back from his first bogey of the day, which came at No. 8 after having to take a drop, with a birdie on the ninth. He dropped a lengthy eagle putt on the 10th and never looked back. It was the third time he's converted a 54-hole lead into a win.

Asian Tour - International Series Singapore
David Puig strolled to a majestic five-shot win in the US$2 million International Series Singapore today – to register his maiden victory in the professional game. He completed a stunning wire-to-wire triumph after firing a final round one-over-par 73 to finish the Asian Tour event on 19-under, with Jaewoong Eom from Korea finishing in second place, after carding a 69.
American Andy Ogletree took another step closer to securing both the Asian Tour and International Series Order of Merits by closing with a 69, which featured a hole-in-one on the par-three fourth, to finish in a tie for third with Thailand’s Poom Saksansin, in with a 68.
Puig had a nine-shot lead at the start of the day thanks to rounds of 64, 66 and 66 and was never challenged. Playing conservatively, he made the turn in one under with a birdie on eight, before a minor wobble with bogeys on 11 and 14. The 21-year-old had a six-shot lead playing 18, which playing partner Eom birdied.
“It’s awesome,” said Puig, who won US$360,000, and became the youngest winner of an International Series event.
“You know, this is my first year as a professional, but I think I deserved a win probably two or three months before this day. But, yeah, it’s awesome, it’s the best feeling in the world. That’s why I practice so hard and yeah, very happy.”

Professional Golf Tour of India - J&K Open presented by J&K Tourism
Om Prakash Chouhan of Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, produced a rock-solid final round performance of three-under 69 to come home the victor by three shots at a total of 11-under 277 at the Rs. 50 lakh J&K Open 2023 presented by J&K Tourism played at the Jammu Tawi Golf Course (JTGC).
Chouhan (71-70-67-69), who picked up his second title of the season and a prize money cheque worth Rs. 7,50,000, further extended his lead in the TATA Steel PGTI Ranking as his season’s earnings moved to Rs. 79,03,009. Om Prakash now enjoys a lead of over Rs. 23 lakh over his nearest rival Aman Raj in the PGTI’s money list.
Chandigarh’s Akshay Sharma (68-71-72-69) also posted a 69 on day four to finish runner-up at eight-under 280. Akshay has now registered three consecutive top-3 finishes. He thus climbed one spot to eighth position in the PGTI’s merit list.
Om Prakash Chouhan, the overnight leader by one shot, maintained his grip on the proceedings for the first half of the day having recorded three birdies till the 10th hole as he sank eight to 10 footers with relative ease.
The 33-year-old Om Prakash, who has been based in Ahmedabad for the last couple of years, was in a spot of bother when he dropped a double-bogey after a three-putt on the 11th but he immediately got back in control with another 10-feet birdie conversion on the 12th. The bogey on the 16th also didn’t affect Chouhan’s round as he once again came roaring back with birdies on the last two holes including a 20-feet conversion on the 17th.
Chouhan said, “Today I didn’t try anything fancy and just focused on playing regulation golf. I thought, let the others try to catch up with me. Importantly, I didn’t have any anxious moments because I made good comebacks every time I dropped shots. That helped me play with a relaxed mind.

Challenge Tour - Hopps Open de Provence
Lucas Vacarisas produced a spectacular start to set up a maiden European Challenge Tour victory in the Hopps Open de Provence at Golf International de Pont Royal. The Spaniard separated himself from a congested leaderboard by carding seven birdies in a row from the fourth hole to the 10th, and despite playing the remaining holes two over par, would ease to a memorable two stroke victory in France.
The 25-year-old carded rounds of 68-69-64-67 to reach 20 under par for the week, two clear of home favourite Félix Mory and Welshman Oli Farr, who shared second on 18 under par.
Vacarisas climbs 89 places to 39th in the Road to Mallorca Rankings and now has a realistic chance of taking his place in the field at the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final supported by the R&A next month. With the top 45 players after next week’s Hainan Open teeing it up at Club de Golf Alcanada, he’s now looking ahead to an exciting end to the season.
“I was playing well and I just tried to do my best and play every hole that way,” he said. “I’m so happy with my game and with all the work we’ve done this year. Every part of my game was great today. I was hitting the ball so good, so it was just about staying patient and being focused all the time and I knew the birdies would come. Maybe I’ll now go to Mallorca. If I go to Mallorca, let’s make sure I have a good one there.”

Asian Development Tour - OB Golf Invitational Presented by Sentul Highlands Golf Club
Thailand’s Sangchai Kaewcharoen won in dramatic fashion on the second playoff hole to win the OB Golf Invitational presented by Sentul Highlands today. Having forced himself into a playoff despite starting the day two shots behind the leaders, he chipped in to secure victory over India’s Khalin Joshi after the match was tied after three rounds.
The playoff ended up between just two players after regulation play, although in a tense finish to the US$70,000 Asian Development Tour event, it could easily have been four. The final group of Australia’s Deyen Lawson, Joshi and Thailand’s Pattaraphol Khanthacha were neck and neck after 14 holes, with Lawson having inserted himself into the battle after making up two shots on the overnight leaders.
While they were trading scores in the leading group, Sangchai was quietly gaining ground, firing in two closing birdies to top a bogey-free back nine score of 31 and join the group at 12 under as clubhouse leader.
And then disaster struck for Lawson and Khanthacha on the par five 17th. Where others had been confidently knocking in birdies and the occasional eagle, they could only manage a bogey and double bogey respectively, ending their chances and opening the door for Joshi who managed to par the hole.
Although tied for the lead and with one hole to go, Joshi (70) could only manage par on the last and triggered a playoff with the clubhouse leader with a total of 204. Despite halving the first playoff hole, he was unable to match Sangchai’s hole out from the left edge.
“I’m very happy,” said Songchai (68) after his victory. “This is my first win overseas. I want to make top ten in the ADT this season so I can get into the Asian Tour. “

Sunshine Tour - Fortress Invitational
Frontrunner Robin Williams ensured he was not just hiring the lead on the final day of the Fortress Invitational at Glendower Golf Club on Sunday, shooting an impressive four-under-par 68 as he strode to an emphatic six-stroke victory and his maiden Sunshine Tour title.
Williams went into the last round with a four-shot lead, having been co-leader after the second round, and he seized even firmer control of the tournament when he collected four birdies in five holes from the fifth. Showing maturity and focus beyond his years, the 22-year-old then made par through his final 11 holes as he never showed any signs of faltering on the biggest day of his career so far.
Tremendously long and accurate off the tee, and with a putter that was red-hot, Williams ensured he kept an iron-grip on proceedings, winning in style in just his 16th Sunshine Tour start.
“I’m over the moon and I don’t think it’s going to sink in for a couple of days,” a quietly delighted Williams said after he finished on 19-under-par 269 on the tree-lined Glendower course that always provides a stiff challenge.
“At the start of the season, you always set your sights on winning, but we know in golf that things don’t always work out the way you want them to. But I knew if I keep working hard, then I would give myself a good chance.

ProGolf Tour - Castanea Resort Championship
Thrilling finale at the last tournament of the season: The Castanea Golf Resort once again provided the perfect stage for the major highlight of the Pro Golf Tour season. During the final round of the Castanea Resort Championship 2023, four players were in the lead at times. One of them was already familiar with this situation: Timo Vahlenkamp had won the season finale two years ago and secured his promotion to the Challenge Tour at that time in the final meters. He had similar plans for this year. And there were many parallels. Once again, Vahlenkamp posted an overall score of -11. And once again, that put him in a playoff.
"I had to think about it in between and that motivated me," Vahlenkamp said a few minutes after defeating Alex Hietala of Finland on the first extra hole. "It all felt like back then. That was nice." This time it went much faster than two years ago, when the decision was not made until the sixth extra hole. "It's very awesome. I'm really happy to have won the tournament again. And then also just like two years ago." His second victory at Castanea Golf Resort was tantamount to winning the Order of Merit. Even before the season finale, Vahlenkamp, who had won the FaberExposize Gelpenberg Open in early September, was among the top five in the Order of Merit.

PGA Tour of Australasia - WA Open
Tasmanian Simon Hawkes is now a two-time winner on the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia thanks to a brilliant up-and-down on the 72nd hole of the Nexus Advisernet/Bowra & O’Dea WA Open. Hawkes arrived at Joondalup Country Club on Sunday with a four-stroke lead, an advantage that would be halved to just two by the time the lead group reached the third tee.
He and veteran Jason Norris went toe-to-toe for the next 14 holes before a dramatic two-shot swing at the par-4 16th. As local hope Connor McKinney rode a wave of home-club support to put himself in the mix, the stalemate between Hawkes and Norris was broken on 16.
On the toughest hole all week, Hawkes piloted in a 40-foot putt down the hill for birdie as Norris made bogey after missing the green with his approach. A dropped shot by Hawkes at the par-3 17th gave McKinney a sniff with an eagle putt from just outside six feet on 18, the 21-year-old mystified when the ball stayed outside the left edge.
McKinney’s tap-in birdie was enough to set the mark in the clubhouse at 15-under but he could only watch as Hawkes navigated his way down the 18th. A drive that trickled into the left rough gave Hawkes a daunting second with water all down the left side of the green.
The 34-year-old drilled a 4-iron down the right side but was faced with every amateur golfer’s worst nightmare when it trickled into the right-hand bunker some 40 metres short of the green. In an eerily similar scenario to his 2018 Vic Open victory, Hawkes opened the face of a 9-iron, played an exquisite explosion shot and then watched on as his ball travelled down the tier to just inside five feet, sealing the deal with a closing birdie and for a round of 70 and 17-under total.
“The weirdest thing for me is that it was identical to the Vic Open,” said Hawkes, who works full-time on the grounds crew in the construction of Seven Mile Beach golf course in Hobart.
“I had a driver and I had a 4-iron into the green. I hit into a greenside bunker and then got up-and-down from the greenside bunker to win the tournament.
