Major Championships - U.S. OPEN
J.J. Spaun, a 34-year-old Californian, clinched his maiden major championship at the 125th U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, defying challenging conditions and a late weather delay to finish as the only player under par at 1-under 279.
Spaun's victory was sealed in dramatic fashion, with a spectacular 65-foot cross-country birdie putt on the 72nd green, giving him a two-shot lead over Scotland's Robert MacIntyre. Throughout the week, Spaun's putting proved to be his strongest asset, starting with a bogey-free 66 on Thursday – the only one of the tournament.
Despite a rocky start to his final round, including hitting the flagstick on the 2nd hole, Spaun showcased remarkable resilience. He battled back on the demanding back nine, making crucial birdies at the 12th, 14th, 17th, and the spectacular finisher on the 18th.
Robert MacIntyre, a left-hander who himself had an impressive Sunday round of 2-under 68, ultimately finished second at 271. His charge included an eagle on the 4th, but it wasn't enough to catch Spaun.
The final day at Oakmont, already considered one of golf's toughest tests, was further complicated by a 96-minute weather delay. This disruption unsettled many of the leaders, including 36 and 54-hole leader Sam Burns and Australian Adam Scott, who both struggled in the closing holes.
Spaun's triumph marks a significant turnaround for the player, who last year contemplated quitting the game. Inspired by a film, he has now added a U.S. Open title to his sole PGA Tour win from 2022, cementing his place in golf history.

Japan Golf Tour & KPGA Tour - Hana Bank Invitational
South Africa's Shaun Norris has clinched his eighth Japan Golf Tour Organisation (JGTO) victory, winning the Hana Bank Invitational on Sunday after a dramatic playoff against Japan's Yusuke Sakamoto.
Norris, 43, overturned a four-shot deficit on the final day at Heaven Country Club, firing a superb six-under-par 66. His round included a spectacular run of three consecutive birdies from the 10th hole, and a crucial late recovery after a bogey on 14. The South African, who won the JT Cup just six months ago, triumphed on the second playoff hole with a birdie after both players made par on the first extra hole.
"I feel like a fine wine. I can still compete at the highest level," said Norris, who fought hard and stayed patient to secure his quick return to the winner's circle. Overnight leader Choi Jin-ho of Korea finished third, while Canada's Richard T. Lee secured solo fourth place.

HotelPlanner Tour - Raiffeisenbank Golf Challenge
Palmer Jackson has clinched his first HotelPlanner Tour victory, triumphing by a commanding six shots at the Raiffeisenbank Golf Challenge held at Golf Resort Kaskáda. The American fired an exceptional final round of seven-under-par 64, bringing his tournament total to 21-under-par.
Jackson began the final day sharing the lead with England's Joshua Berry, but quickly established control with three birdies in his opening four holes. Despite a couple of bogeys on the 5th and 12th, an eagle on the drivable par-four 7th and further birdies on the 9th and three of his closing seven holes cemented his dominant performance.
"I didn't really let myself feel anything until the last putt went in, and when it did it was one of the best feelings of my life," said the 24-year-old. He added that his aim was to reach 20-under-par, a target he surpassed.

Italy's Jacopo Vecchi Fossa has secured his first win of the season at the 2025 Open International de La Mirabelle d’Or, finishing with a three-day total of 13-under-par. This victory marks his return to the winner's circle, following multiple previous successes on the Alps Tour.
The final round at Golf Domaine de la Grange aux Ormes saw a two-hour delay due to thunderstorms, but Vecchi Fossa remained composed. He delivered a steady 2-under-par 68, carding crucial birdies and managing to hold off a strong charge from fellow Italian, 19-year-old Luca Memeo, who finished just one stroke behind in solo second place after an impressive 5-under-par 65.
Veteran French pro Julien Quesne made a significant move up the leaderboard, securing solo third place with the lowest round of the day, a bogey-free 8-under-par 62.
Vecchi Fossa, reflecting on his win, said his mindset was simply "trying to hit the greens and make two-putts for par." This win propels him to the top of the Order of Merit standings.
