News for the 9 Eligible Official World Golf Ranking Tournaments

PGA Tour - Farmers Insurance Open

Harris English claimed his fifth PGA TOUR victory at the Farmers Insurance Open, overcoming a challenging week with a gritty final round of 1-over 73. English, who struggled with accuracy, hitting just four fairways and nine greens, relied on his competitive spirit and course management to hold off Sam Stevens by a single stroke.

English's swing coach, Justin Parsons, emphasized the need for the golfer to "grind out competitive scores" and "stop being like everybody else," urging him to focus on his unique strengths rather than chasing technical perfection. This approach proved crucial at Torrey Pines, a notoriously difficult course known for its demanding conditions.

English, who has a strong history at Torrey Pines with several top finishes, showcased his ability to "play chess" rather than simply relying on a powerful swing.

He navigated the challenging course with a focus on par-saving and strategic shot-making, ultimately securing the victory. This win marks a significant milestone for English, who has been working diligently to recover from a hip injury and rediscover his winning form.
