PGA Tour – The Honda Classic
Matt Jones won The Honda Classic by five shots for a second PGA TOUR victory. With a final round of 2-under 68 he finished the week at 12-under 268 moving back into the Top 50 to World No.49. The margin matched the largest in tournament history, tying the mark set by Jack Nicklaus in 1977 and matched by Camilo Villegas in 2010.
"It's been seven years. It's been a tough seven years," Jones said. "I've had ups and I've had downs, as all golfers have, but it gets me into a lot of big tournaments now."
The win moves him to 11th in the FedExCup and closer to making his first TOUR Championship. It also will get him into the Masters Tournament in April and THE PLAYERS Championship and Sentry Tournament of Champions in 2022.
The 40-year-old Australian earned $1.26 million and, this time, he'll have more than a day to prepare for the trip to Augusta National. His win at the Houston Open in 2014 -- and his Masters invite -- came just one day before he had to go to Augusta, so it was a mad scramble to get family and friends together to share in the experience.
"It's going to be nice," Jones said. "I can go prep for the Masters this time. Last time it was an absolute blur. I can't remember a thing about it, so I'm going to do some prep this time before."
Jones started the week with a course-record-tying round of 9-under 61. He was three shots behind Aaron Wise after 36 holes after a second-round 70, and his round of 69 on Saturday was good enough to put him up by three entering Sunday.
Brandon Hagy (66) finished 7 under and alone in second on his 30th birthday, his chance at winning doomed by a third-round 76. Chase Seiffert (64), Brendan Steele (65), C.T. Pan (70), Denny McCarthy (67) and Russell Henley (68) tied for third at 6 under.
European Tour - Magical Kenya Open presented by Johnnie Walker 2021
Justin Harding produced a composed display of front running to claim his second European Tour victory at the 2021 Magical Kenya Open presented by Johnnie Walker moving from World No. 195 to 121.
The South African - who claimed a maiden European Tour win at last week's Commercial Bank Qatar Masters - has gone sub 70 in six of his seven fourth rounds this season, with a pair of 63s in the Middle East.
He matched last week's closing 66 on Sunday at the Magical Kenya Open presented by Absa to finish in a tie for second at Karen Country Club and earn yet more vital points in the Official World Golf Ranking.
The 33-year-old entered the week at 52nd and could move into that magical top 50 that would get him to Augusta National.
"I had to have a good finish," he said. "To have done that helps.
"I think I'm probably still going to have to have a decent result come the Match Play but I've at least given myself a decent shot at Augusta."
Harding started with eight pars but got up and down from the front of the ninth and the back of the 11th for birdies.
An eagle from ten feet at the 12th had him in a share of the lead but he bogeyed the next before a stunning approach into the 15th and a 20 footer on the 17th guaranteed him another good week.
Korn Ferry Tour - Chitimacha Louisiana Open presented by MISTRAS
Beginning the day with a two-stroke lead, 34-year-old Roberto Diaz hung on for his first Korn Ferry Tour victory at 18-under 266 at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open presented by MISTRAS. Diaz edged Peter Uihlein by one stroke and Tom Whitney by two strokes at Le Triomphe Golf & Country Club.
“Oh, man, where do I start; it’s been a long road for me,” said an emotional Diaz. “All I could think about on the course is just sustain the moment, it sounds so cliché…you have to stay in the moment…This win means a lot for me, for my family, for my team, for different reasons, not only for the sentimental part of it. But like I told you, the monkey on my back is off. I feel a lot of relief, I feel a lot of weight off me. There’s only one thing that I wanted, it was to win. When my kid came along, I kind of put that off my mind, and now I have two things off my mind now.”
Diaz had increased his advantage to four strokes after an eagle at the par-5 seventh hole, but after a bogey at the 13th, Uihlein had narrowed the gap to one. Uihlein followed that up with a chip-in birdie at the 14th to tie the lead. Both players made pars on Nos. 15 and 16 before Uihlein three-putted at the 17th to drop back to 17-under. Uihlein found the water with his tee shot on 18, and while he was able to save par, the opening was enough for Diaz to comfortably two-putt for the win.
Professional Golf Tour of India – Prometheus School Presents Delhi-NCR Open Golf Championship
Pune’s Udayan Mane, who had been struggling to find his ‘A’ game since the resumption of the tour in November last year, finally reignited his season with a two-shot victory at the Prometheus School Presents Delhi-NCR Open Golf Championship 2021 being played at the Golden Greens Golf Club in Gurugram.

Udayan’s third title of the 2020-21 PGTI season will help him make a big push up the world rankings from his current 320th position and as a result also boost his chances in the Tokyo Olympics qualification race.
Gurugram-based Shivendra Singh Sisodia, playing at his home course, secured a career-best tied second place at 12-under-276 after a sensational birdie-eagle finish on the last two holes helped the 31-year-old put up a score of 66.
Bengaluru’s Chikkarangappa (68) and Patna’s Aman Raj (69) also took a share of second place.
Chandigarh’s Karandeep Kochhar (67) claimed fifth place at 11-under-277 to maintain his lead in the PGTI Order of Merit.
Sandeep Singh of Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, shot the day’s best score of seven-under-65 to finish tied ninth at eight-under-280.
Udayan Mane (71-67-67-69), the overnight leader by one shot, had a hot start to the day with two birdies on the first three holes which saw him play a couple of good wedge shots. Udayan then made some good putts which didn’t roll in but he still hung on to his lead.
