PGA Tour of Australasia - Fiji International

Starting the final round three shots clear of the field, Snedeker showed his dominance firing rounds of 69, 65, 70, 68 to win the title by nine shots.

"I couldn't have asked for a better start to the day. I birdied the first hole out of the gate," said Snedeker.

"Being 3-under after the first six it all kind of went my way and I hit quality golf shots. I just never really let up."

"I did not expect to win by nine shots, this golf course is funny, it's brutal. I knew if I let up for a second, there could be a big number waiting for me."

"It was about to happen on 10, I was able to survive there. I kept my head down and kept going all day long."

Never under threat, Snedeker cruised to an easy victory at the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course, however the nerves were still present.

"There's always going to be nerves but I did a great job calming down on the first tee, hitting two quality shots and then making the putt," added Snedeker.

"I'm very happy with the comfort level I felt in that situation and never really gave anything back. I didn't do anything that would cause myself to lose the tournament."

European Tour – Alfred Dunhill Links Championship

Tyrrell Hatton sealed his maiden European Tour title in style on Sunday, firing seven birdies and a solitary bogey to ease to a four-shot victory at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

After producing a stunning 62 to equal the course record at St Andrews on Saturday, Englishman Hatton posted a closing 66 at the Old Course to finish the week on 23 under par.

Hatton's playing partner and countryman Ross Fisher and South Africa's Richard Sterne finished in a tie for second on 19 under.

Swede Joakim Lagergren was another two strokes back after Sunday's 68, one shot ahead of Scot Marc Warren on 16 under.

Heading into the final round with a three-shot lead, Hatton got off to a strong start, rolling in his birdie putt from six feet at the third before draining a 25-foot putt at the next to pick up another shot.

Challenge Tour – Terre dei Consoli Open

Johan Edfors became a European Challenge Tour winner for the fourth time as he took a three-shot victory at the Terre dei Consoli Open to climb to 33rd in the Road to Oman Rankings.

The Swede – a three-time European Tour champion who had not been in the Challenge Tour winner’s circle for two years – kept his cool on the back nine on Sunday, making five birdies coming home to close with a three under par 69 and top the leaderboard on 13 under par.

The 40 year old – whose birthday is tomorrow – had pulled one shot clear of overnight leader Victor Riu before an outstanding birdie on the 17th, coupled with Riu making bogey, gave him a three-shot advantage playing the last at Terre dei Consoli Golf Club.

Sunshine Tour - Sun Boardwalk Challenge

Ruan de Smidt took his second Sunshine Tour title in three weeks on Saturday as he carded a three-under-par 69 to win the R700,000 Sun Boardwalk Challenge at Humewood Golf Club.

He overcame two bogeys in his opening three holes, and made five birdies in the rest of his round to edge out Tyrone Ferreira who shot a five-under 67 by one stroke. Danie van Tonder was in third place after he signed for a two-under 70, and he was a further shot back.

“My game has felt like it has been in the right place for the last six or seven weeks,” said De Smidt, “and luckily for me, I’ve won twice in the last three.” In fact, it was his eighth top-10 of the season, and his sixth in his last seven tournaments.

He must have wondered whether it was going to turn out that way when he dropped those two early shots, but he had scored really well around the turn and on the back nine in the preceding two rounds. He picked up one of the dropped shots on the fourth hole, and the second on the eighth, and three birdies in the last five holes down the stretch clinched it for him.

“I just putted terribly today,” he said of a victory which might have been more decisive. “I had 33 putts which is never great, but I hit it nicely – especially on the back nine where I had a lot of birdie opportunities. I’m just happy that I fought back after those first two holes.”

Nordic Golf League – Race to Himmerland

Swedish man Alexander Wennstam won the Race to Himmerland after a final round of six under par Rasmus Hjelm finished second, and is now millimeters from a Challenge Tour card for next season.

Although wind and cold played a factor on the final day, it was Wennstam fire hot from start to finish in the final round of Race to Himmerland. An eagle and five birdies helped the strong Swede way to victory, which was finally with a margin of two strokes for Danish Rasmus Hjelm.

With the victory pocketing Alexander Wennstam 10,000 euro and points to GolfBox Nordic League Golf Ranking , and it actually means that he overtakes Rasmus Hjelm and climbs into the crucial top-5th Hjelm is with his second place in the top 5, where he - in spite of a decrease in one location on the leaderboard - now has a lead of about 6.725 euro for Norwegian Christian Aronsen. It looks like a Challenge Tour card for Rasmus Hjelm next season.
