PGA Tour - Deutsche Bank Championship
Rickie Fowler won the Deutsche Bank Championship with one big putt. Henrik Stenson might have lost it with one big mistake.
Fowler rallied from two shots behind with five holes to play by making a 40-foot birdie putt on the 14th hole. He played flawless the rest of the way for a 3-under 68 and a one-shot victory Monday at the TPC Boston.
Stenson never trailed until his tee shot on the par-3 16th came up short and bounced into the water for a double bogey. One shot behind, the Swede could never catch up and had to settle for a 70.
"Just kind of hung in there today," Fowler said. "It’s pretty special."
The win moved Fowler to third in the FedExCup standings in the process. The victory was Fowler's second of the season (THE PLAYERS) and third of his career.
Japan Golf Tour - Fujisankei Classic
29 year old Korean, K.T. Kim (Kyung Tae Kim), won the Fujisankei Classic in Yamanashi in Japan, the former Presidents Cup player claiming his third win of the Japan Golf Tour season.
Kim has been in fine form this season, not only winning on three occasions but producing several other good finishes.
He leads the Japan Tour money list and while an inclusion in this year’s Presidents Cup team might be a bit of a stretch, that he defeated Webb Simpson in the singles at Royal Melbourne and that he would be playing in front of home fans suggests that it is not such a crazy idea.

Sunshine Tour – Sun Sibaya Challenge
At the Sun Sibaya Challenge on Friday Michael Hollick could sense that his maiden victory was close. He was tied for the lead playing the 18th hole of his home course at Mount Edgecombe Country Club and his caddie, a friend who was on the bag for the first time, told him that every golfer dreams of making a birdie at the last to win. Hollick obliged.
“Everyone on tour thinks about that moment. You never really know if you’ll win as a professional, so it’s quite a relief to actually do it. I hit two perfect shots on the 18th and managed to sink the putt, which just ended a special day at my home club,” he said.
The Durban local grew up in a house behind the first tee at Mount Edgecombe and brought the crowds out to watch as he claimed a one-shot win over Jean Hugo and Zambia’s Madalitso Muthiya.

However, the £3,666.67 he collected for a share of second saw him to rise to the top of the Race To Desert Springs, from which the top five at the end of the season earn Challenge Tour cards for 2016.
It took until the sixth extra hole for the play-off to reach its conclusion. Frazer had been eliminated on the fifth play after a bogey to leave Halley and McCullen in a head-to-head.
