PGA Tour – FedEx St Jude

Ben Crane was able to complete his wire-to-wire victory, his 3-over 73 in the final round good enough for a one-shot victory over Troy Merritt. Crane began the week at No. 150 in the FedExCup, with just one top-25 in 16 starts and leaves Memphis 41st in the season-long race.

He shot 63-65 in the FedEx St. Jude’s first two rounds, and played the first six holes of the third round in 1 under before play was called for the day. He started his 30-hole Sunday with a chip-in on his first hole. It was his only birdie of the day, but it was enough to win. He held a two-shot lead when he arrived at the 18th tee, then made a cautious bogey on the water-lined closing hole.

European Tour – Lyoness Open powered by Greenfinity

Mikael Lundberg holed a 40 foot birdie putt on the first play-off hole to deny Bernd Wiesberger a second win on home soil and capture the Lyoness Open powered by Greenfinity.

The pair finished tied on 12 under par at Diamond Country Club after Lundberg surged through the field with a closing 65 and Wiesberger returned a 69 after letting slip a one shot lead with three holes to play.

Lundberg had held the halfway lead after rounds of 67 and 68, but a 76 on Saturday left him six shots behind defending champion Joost Luiten starting the final round.

The 40 year old got off to a flying start with four birdies in his first five holes and after a bogey on the eighth, carded four more in five holes from the 11th to set the clubhouse target.

Japan Golf Tour – PGA Championship Nissin Cupnoodles Cup

Taichi Teshima closed with a 1-under 71 on Sunday to win the PGA Championship Nissin Cupnoodles Cup.

Teshima ended at 9-under-par 279. This was his seventh victory on the Japan Golf Tour.

He got off to a fast start at Golden Valley Golf Club with birdies on one and two. He gave one shot back when he bogeyed the eighth. Around the turn, Teshima also bogeyed the 10th to fall back to even-par for his round.

Teshima birdied the 12th and 14th to move back to minus-10, but he bogeyed the 16th. He parred the last two holes to hang on for the win.

Asian Tour – Queens Cup

Thai veteran star Thaworn Wiratchant came from five shots back to win an unprecedented 17th Asian Tour victory with a classy one-stroke triumph at the Queen’s Cup on Sunday.

The 47-year-old Thaworn holed a five foot birdie putt on the closing hole to pip overnight leader Poom Saksansin with a final round of five-under-par 66 at the Santiburi Samui Country Club to lift the Queen’s Cup for the second time in three years.

Thai rookie Poom, who had led since the opening day, settled for the runner-up spot in the US$300,000 tournament after a closing 72 while Bangladeshi star Siddikur Rahman, who briefly held the lead on the back nine, signed off with a disappointing 72 to share third place with Thailand’s Donlapatchai Niyomchon (68).

Sunshine Tour – Zambia Sugar Open

On a day when the next best score was a two-under-par 71 at Lusaka Golf Club, Lyle Rowe sailed serenely to his maiden Sunshine Tour title with a closing five-under-par 68 on Sunday to win the R1.2-million Zambia Sugar Open.

His closest pursuer was Neil Schietekat, who carded a level-par 73 to finish at nine-under-par 283, four shots adrift of Rowe who found something in his game ahead of the third round and simply coasted away from the rest of the field.

Web.com – Cleveland Open

New Zealand's Steven Alker won the Cleveland Open on Sunday in the longest playoff in Web.com Tour history, beating South Africa's Dawie van der Walt with a birdie on the 11th extra hole.

Alker and van der Walt parred for the first 10 holes in the playoff at Lakewood Country Club before Alker finally broke through with a 3-foot birdie putt on the par-4 18th.

Challenge Tour - Fred Olsen Challenge de España

Germany’s Moritz Lampert won his second Challenge Tour title in the space of three weeks with a superb round of 63 on the final day of the Fred Olsen Challenge de España.

Having prevailed in last month’s Kärnten Golf Open presented by Mazda with a 19 under par aggregate total, Lampert duly doubled his tally of Challenge Tour title with another feat of low scoring at Tecina Golf, on Spain’s Canary Islands.

Lampert’s 20 under par score earned him a two shot win from Belgian Hugues Joannes and a cheque for €25,600, which moved the 22 year old to second place behind Spaniard Jordi Garcia Pinto in the Challenge Tour Rankings and within sight of sealing a swift return to The European Tour.

PGA Tour Canada - Bayview Place Island Savings Open presented by Times Colonist

North Dakota’s Josh Persons held steady with an even par 70 on Sunday at Uplands Golf Club to win the Bayview Place Island Savings Open presented by Times Colonist, his first PGA TOUR Canada victory.

The 30-year old University of Minnesota graduate converted a tricky two-putt on the 18th green at Uplands to win by one over 2010 winner Brock Mackenzie of Washington and PGA TOUR Canada rookie Tim Madigan of New Mexico. The win moves Persons to no. 2 on the Order of Merit behind PC Financial Open champion Joel Dahmen.

PGA Tour China – Lanhai Open

As a soon-to-be 47-year-old, David McKenzie is at the age where it might occasionally cross his mind if he will ever win again. The veteran from Australia stopped that thinking at the Lanhai Open, though, as he played steady -- sometimes spectacular -- golf all week, capturing his first PGA TOUR China Series title by five strokes over Steve Dartnall.

Holding a three-shot lead going into the final round, McKenzie expected a battle over the last 18 holes. But that didn’t materialize during the final round at Lan Hai International Golf Club’s Links Course. McKenzie’s final-round 69 was his fourth consecutive round in the 60s, and he made only one bogey Sunday (at the par-4 15th) -- only two bogeys over his final 47 holes.

Asian Development Tour - ICTSI Orchard Golf Championship

Rufino Bayron of the Philippines claimed a stylish career breakthrough when he fired a two-under-par 70 to win the ICTSI Orchard Golf Championship by four shots on Saturday.

Bayron posted a winning total of 16-under-par 272, courtesy of a superb second round 62, to overcome the talented field at the US$60,000 Asian Development Tour (ADT) event.

Tomokazu Yoshinaga of Japan, who was playing on a sponsor’s invitation, settled for runner-up following a 71 while countryman Masaru Takahashi and Australia’s R.J. Caracella finished a further two shots back in tied third at the Orchard Golf and Country Club.

Bayron held a three-shot lead heading into the most important 18 holes of his career and his lead was never under threat even after he bogeyed nine. A 15-footer eagle on 14 put him a step closer to victory and he sealed the deal with a tap-in birdie on the last.
