PGA Tour – Zurich Classic of New Orleans

Seung-Yul Noh earned his first PGA TOUR win Sunday at Zurich Classic of New Orleans by playing a round of golf that made him look more like a 10-year veteran than a 22-year-old ranked No. 176 in the world.

Noh played in the final group with Keegan Bradley, who started the day two off the lead, but finished in a tie for eighth after a final-round 75. When asked Saturday about the pairing with Bradley, Noh joked that it was “no problem.” After all, his friend Sang-Moon Bae was paired with Bradley in the final group at last year’s HP Byron Nelson Championship and Bae got the job done and claimed his first PGA TOUR win.

Noh followed suit on Sunday, moving to No. 16 in FedExCup points and earning a spot in THE PLAYERS Championship, the PGA Championship and next year’s Masters.

One Asia / European Tour – Volvo China Open

Alexander Levy secured his first European Tour title after a turbulent final round at the Volvo China Open.

The Frenchman became the 20th different winner of the event in its 20th staging despite seeing a five shot lead reduced to one on the back nine.

A strong finish form the 23 year old saw him card a closing 69 for a 19 under par total – four clear of England’s Tommy Fleetwood.

Having started the day three clear, Levy looked to be strolling towards the kind of decisive victory he eventually produced for much of the final round, before a messy double bogey at the 15th threatened to derail his chances.

However, birdies at the 17th and 18th saw him cross the line in style and collect the €389,150 winner’s cheque.

Asian Tour – 000 CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters

India’s Anirban Lahiri won his fourth Asian Tour title and first outside of India with a spectacular eagle putt on the last hole to win the US$750,000 CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters on Sunday.

The 26-year-old Indian, who is getting married next month, survived a gamut of emotions on the final day before breaking away from the chasing pack to seal victory with a four-under-par 68 at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club.

Japan Golf Tour – Tsuruya Open

Hiroyuki Fujita parred the first playoff hole on Sunday to defeat Sang-Hyun Park and win the Tsuruya Open.

Fujita shot 4-under 67 to end at 13-under-par 271. Park had gotten in the clubhouse first as he fired a 7-under 64 to end at minus-13.

The pair returned to the 18th, where Fujita's par was enough for his 16th tour win on the Yamanohara Course at Yamanohara Golf Club.

Park birdied four of five holes from the fifth to make the turn 10-under. He wrapped birdies at 13 and 15 around a bogey on the 14th. Park jumped to minus-13 with an eagle on No. 17, then he waited to see what Fujita would do.

Fujita had three birdies the first six holes to move to minus-12. Around the turn, he stumbled to a double bogey on the par-3 11th, but fought back with three birdies in a four-hole span from the 13th to gain a share of the lead. Fujita parred the final two holes before collecting the title in the playoff.

Web.com Tour – WNB Golf Classic

Andrew Putnam earned his first professional win Sunday when high winds in West Texas forced the cancellation of the final round of the WNB Golf Classic. Putnam had completed only seven holes at Midland Country Club when play was halted at shortly after noon but was leading by eight shots at the time.

The 25-year-old second-year pro from Washington had distanced himself from the field with an 8-under 64 in Saturday’s third round and held a seven-stroke lead when the day began.

The forecast called for high winds and blowing dust, nothing new to the residents of the Permian Basin, and the weatherman hit it exactly right. Tee times were pushed up in hopes of getting the round completed but Mother Nature had other plans.

Officials called the round off at 4:30 p.m. and the standings reverted back to 54 holes, where Putnam held a nearly insurmountable lead. Instead of a victory walk, Putnam was in the clubhouse watching golf on television when he was declared the winner.

Challenge Tour – Challenge de Catalunya

Antonio Hortal captured his maiden Challenge Tour title with a home victory in the Challenge de Catalunya after the event was shortened to 54 holes.

The Spaniard picked up his fourth birdie of the back nine on the final green for a closing three under par 68 and winning score of 14 under par, 199, sealing a three-stroke victory over England’s Callum Shinkwin.

With the second day’s play effectively wiped out with the strong winds at Lumine Golf and Beach Resort, the tournament was cut to three rounds, with the 25 year old laying the foundations for his first victory with a course-record equalling 63 on Saturday.

Hortal has struggled to find his feet on the Challenge Tour, making only two cuts last season with a previous high finish of joint 21st, but this victory in his first event of his 2014 campaign has immediately lift him to third in the Challenge Tour Rankings with €25,600.

PGA Tour LatinoAmerica - Roberto De Vicenzo Invitational Copa NEC

Florida’s Ty Capps made a par on the third hole of a sudden death playoff to overcome Argentina’s Tommy Cocha and win the 2014 Roberto De Vicenzo Invitational Copa NEC on Sunday.

Holding the overnight lead by one, Capps seemed to be on his way to victory in regulation. However, he faltered down the stretch with bogeys on 15 and 17. His final round of 71, his highest score this week on the sixth event of the NEC Series-PGA TOUR Latinoamérica season, made him run into a tie with Cocha at 16-under par 272.

Trailing by five at the start of the day, Cocha rallied with three birdies and an eagle on the back nine for a round 66. The young man who turned 23 yesterday had a shot at the title on the second playoff hole, where he missed a five-footer for birdie.

Asian Development Tour - PGM Lada Langkawi Championship

Chan Shih-chang of Chinese Taipei survived an early scare and a late charge by Singapore’s Koh Deng Shan to win his second Asian Development Tour (ADT) title at the PGM Lada Langkawi Championship on Thursday.

Chan was two-over after seven holes but he swiftly recovered with an eagle three on hole eight followed by four birdies to seal the win with a four-under-par 68 at the Gunung Raya Golf Resort.

His winning total of 19-under-par 269 was one shot better than Koh, who had to settle for second after firing the day’s low round of 65 at the RM250,000 (approximately US$80,000) Asian Development Tour (ADT) tournament.
