Luke Donald defended his title at the Japan Golf Tour’s Dunlop Phoenix tournament and Denmark’s Morten Ørum Madsen won his first European Tour title.

A week after losing eight members of his family in Typhoon Haiyan, Day, the 26 year old Australian showed commendable mental strength to see off Denmark’s Thomas Björn by two strokes.
Day’s closing round of 70 for a ten under par aggregate total, allied to his team-mate Adam Scott’s seven under par score, also meant Australia were crowned World Cup of Golf winners for the fifth time.
Sunshine and European Tour - South African Open
Denmark’s Morten Ørum Madsen won his first European Tour title with a two shot victory in the South African Open Championship hosted by the City of Ekurhuleni.
Madsen got his season off to the perfect start by winning the opening event of the 2014 Race to Dubai after picking up five shots in his last round, all with birdies, to finish ahead of South Africans Jbe Kruger and Hennie Otto at Glendower GC on 19 under par.
The 25 year old, ranked 244 in the world before this win, made consistent scores throughout the four days, overcoming four bogeys in his first round with just three more in the rest of the tournament. Madsen picked up 32 1st place points taking him to 121st in the World Ranking.
Japan Golf Tour - Dunlop Phoenix
Luke Donald shot a 5-under 66 on Sunday to defend his title at the Dunlop Phoenix and earn his first victory of the year and moves to World No 15.
Heading into the final round with a two-stroke lead, Donald had seven birdies and two bogeys at the par-71 Phoenix Country Club to finish at 14-under 270 on the Japan Tour.
PGA Tour of Australasia - Gloria Jean's NSW Open
Aron Price won the 2013 Gloria Jean’s Coffees NSW Open Championship played at Castle Hill Country Club.
Starting the fourth round tied for the lead with PGA TOUR player Steven Bowditch, Price opened with a birdie before steady play saw him claim the title by four shots with a tournament total of 19-under 269.
PGA Tour Latino America - The Abierto de Chile
Timothy O'Neal of Savannah Georgia made an eagle on the first hole of a three-man sudden-death playoff to win the 87th Abierto de Chile on Sunday.
With the victory, his second on NEC Series PGA TOUR Latinoamérica this season, O'Neal jumps to No. 3 on "Los Cinco" and is in position to earn Web.com Tour status for the 2014 season. O'Neal of Savannah, Ga., Florida's Ryan Blaum and Argentina's Sebastián Saavedra finished 72 holes at 13-under 275.
