European Tour - Turkish Airlines Open
Victor Dubuisson kept his cool in the face of a high-profile chasing pack to earn his first European Tour victory as Henrik Stenson just stayed top the Race To Dubai at the Turkish Airlines Open by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Despite France’s Dubuisson heading into the final round with a five-shot lead, there were many that believed he would succumb to the pressure of having the likes of Ian Poulter, Tiger Woods, Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson hot on his heels.
He dispelled those beliefs with a masterful performance that belied his tender years, starting the year as World No. 139 Dubuisson moves up the ranking 100 spots going into the DP World Championship ranked World No. 39.
PGA Tour - The McGladrey Classic
Despite enduring a manic back nine, Chris Kirk held on to record victory at the McGladrey Classic by a single stroke.
Kirk finished with a four-under-par round of 66 - his third of the event - to end the tournament 14-under overall, one shot ahead of Tim Clark and joint-overnight leader Briny Baird.
Chris gained 32 first place points moving him from 94th to 56th in the World Ranking.
PGA Tour of Australasia and One Asia - Australian PGA Championship presented by Coco Cola
US Masters Champion Adam Scott put the icing on a remarkable year with an emotional home-town victory. Adam Scott shrugged off a two-hour lightning suspension to fire a four-under-par final-round 67 on Sunday and claim a four-stroke victory, he later dedicated to his father, Phil, a long-time PGA Professional.
Scott, who spent his childhood on the Gold Coast, was 14-under-par for four rounds at the 6,747-metre (7,378-yard) RACV Royal Pines Resort course, with American Rickie Fowler (68) second and Australian PGA academy trainee Jack Wilson (68) alone in third at eight under.
Japan Golf Tour - HEIWA PGM DREAM CUP IN KASUMIGAURA
Ashun Wu managed to hang on for a 1-shot win at the Heiwa PGM Championship. Wu has won for the second time on the Japan Golf Tour, finished at 11-under- par 273 at Miho Golf Club. Ashuin moves up the ranking 68 spots top rank at 155th.
Asian Tour - Hero Indian Open
Bangladeshi Siddikur claimed a nerve-wracking one-stroke victory over local hopes S.S.P. Chowrasia and Anirban Lahiri at the 50th Hero Indian Open on Sunday for his second career title on the Asian Tour.
Leading by four overnight, the tenacious Siddikur made life difficult for himself with a wobbly final round of three-over-par 75 at the Delhi Golf Club which allowed the chasing pack to breathe down his neck and apply the pressure. Siddikur moves into the World’s top 200.
PGA Tour Latino America - Lexus Peru Open
On a day of fierce competition for the title of the Lexus Peru Open, Argentina’s Julian Etulain closed strong on Sunday to defend the overnight lead and win his first NEC Series-PGA TOUR Latinoamérica title.
The leader by one shot at the beginning of the day at Los Inkas Golf Club, the 25-year-old from Buenos Aires carded a 70 to finish the tournament at 13-under 275. He defeated U.S. players Ryan Blaum, 68, and Bronson Burgoon, 71, by one. Julian Moves from World no. 946 to 614.
Asian Development Tour - PGM MIDF KLGCC Masters
Masaru Takahashi cruised to his first victory on the Asian Development Tour (ADT) when he closed with a two-under-par 69 at the PGM MIDF KLGCC Masters on Sunday.
Takahashi, only the second Japanese to win on the ADT, defeated Malaysia’s top ranked golfer Nicholas Fung, who shot a 69, by three shots with an 11-under-par 273.
Sunshine Tour - Nedbank Affinity Cup
On Thursday Jacques Blaauw was tied for the Nedbank Affinity Cup lead on 14-under-par and about to play into the 18th from a greenside bunker when dangerous weather cause a delay in play.
He composed himself when play resumed an hour later and made a superb up-and-down to birdie the par five and clinch his third Sunshine Tour victory by one stroke and move to World Number 394.
