Robert Karlsson overcame Ian Poulter in a play-off to win the Dubai World Championship presented by DP World. The pair tied on the 14 under par mark of 274 after Karlsson, three behind overnight, played the first three holes in four under and then pitched to three feet for a birdie on the 72nd hole. After halving the first play-off hole, the 18th of the Earth Course, Karlsson birdied it again to win the title at the second extra hole. Karlsson jumps 20 places to World Number 16 while Poulter breaks back into the World Top 10 in 8th position.

Michio Matsumura held off a final round charge by Kim Do-Hoon#752(Daegu) to beat the South Korean in a play-off and win the Casio World Open. The 27-year-old Matsumura carded a final round four under 68 and returned to the clubhouse looking on course to win the tournament in regulation play. However, Kim, who had shot successive 70s in the previous three rounds, closed with a superb seven under 65 - the best round of the day - to join Matsumura on 13 under 275 to force a play-off. Matsumura climbs 59 places to World Number 85 while Kim jumps 70 spots to World Number 142.

Thailand’s Udorn Duangdecha sparked a superb final day charge to win his maiden Asian Tour title at the King’s Cup on Sunday. Udorn, who entered the final round five strokes off the lead, fired a sparkling six-under-par 66 for a four-day total of 12-under-par 276 for a two-stroke victory at the Singha Park Khon Kaen Golf Club. South African Jbe Kruger settled for his third runner-up finish this season after narrowly missing his 50 feet eagle putt on the 18th hole. He signed off with a 73 for a 278 total to take a share of second place with Thailand’s Pariya Junhasavasdikul and Korean Mo Joong-kyung at the Singha Park Khon Kaen Golf Club. Udorn improves his World Ranking to 306th.
