Phil Mickelson picked up a third Masters Tournament victory in seven years with a final round of 67 for a 16-under-par total of 272 ahead of Lee Westwood who shot a final round of 71 for second place. The Champion at Augusta in 2004 and 2006 and with a US PGA title in between, Mickelson's bogey free final round gave him his fourth Major Championship win. Mickelson moves back to World Number Two and the gap between himself and Tiger Woods, who finished fourth, is 2.58 average OWGR points.

James Morrison from Surrey, England, secured his maiden European Tour title at the Madeira Islands Open BPI - Portugal after holding off a determined charge from Oliver Fisher. Overnight leader Morrison carded a final round 70 to finish on 20 under par, one clear of Fisher, who roared into contention with a host of birdies on the final day. With this win Morrison, a former England youth cricketer, jumps 174 positions to World Number 182.

Japan’s Tetsuji Hiratsuka claimed his maiden Asian Tour title with an emphatic 10-stroke victory at the Air Bagan Myanmar Open presented by IBTC. After two third place finishes this season, Hiratsuka posted a brilliant final round six-under-par 66 for a winning total of 24-under-par 264, which tied the fourth biggest margin of victory on the Asian Tour. The win takes Hiratsuka to World Number 124 a climb of 38 positions.
