South Korea's Yang Yong-Eun (YE Yang) made history as he became the first man to overturn a Tiger Woods 54-hole lead in a major and claimed the US PGA Championship at Hazeltine National. Yang, 37, becomes the first Asian-born player to win a major and he denied the world number one a 15th such victory, the American having previously enjoyed a perfect record in turning 14 third-round major leads into wins. Yang shot a final round of 2-under-par 70 to equal the best round of the day and was victorious by three strokes. Having started the year at World Number 478 Yang's impressive year prior to the PGA Championship had seen him rise to World Number 110 and victory at Hazeltine vaults him to World Number 34.

Justin Bolli won his third Nationwide Tour event at The Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr Pepper after he came from three shots back going into the final round to win by one. The American got off to a slow start but with the leaders coming back to him his four birdie back nine was enough to see him claim victory. The win sees Justin Bolli rise from 405 to 276 in the Ranking.

Julien Quesne celebrated his 29th birthday in style with his maiden Challenge Tour victory at the Trophee du Golf de Geneve. The Frenchman trailed rankings leader Edoardo Molinari by one going into the final round, but a superb 66 was enough to topple the overnight leader. Quesne's first title sees him climb 130 places on the rankings to 248 with an average points total of 0.746.

Chinarat Phadungsil claimed his third Asian Tour title at the Queen's Cup after a final round 67 that saw him win by three from the chasing pack. Phadungsil, who became the youngest winner on the Asian Tour in 2005 at the age of 17, never looked like faultering on the final day as he stormed to victory at the Santiburi Samui Country Club. Phadungsil now finds himself ranked 321 after a rise of 190 places on the Official World Golf Ranking.
