Richard Finch from England won for a second time on the 2008 European Tour International Schedule as he secured the Irish Open title at Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort. Finch’s ten under par 278 aggregate saw him finish two clear of Aguilar and three ahead of leading Irishman Gary Murphy, as well as Robert Karlsson, Maarten Lafeber and Lee Westwood. Finch, who took an unscheduled dip in the River Maigue on the 72nd hole, jumps 84 places to 134th in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Ryuji Imada from Japan captured his first career PGA Tour title by defeating Kenny Perry at the first extra hole to win the AT&T Classic at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, Georgia. Imada was second in this event last year after losing a play-off to Zach Johnson. This year's win moves Imada into the World Top 50 as he takes a 20 spot jump to World Number 49.

Shingo Katayama cruised to victory in the Japan PGA Championship, his six stroke win earning him a place back in the world's Top 50 as he climbs 13 positions to World Number 44.

This week's other winners were David Mathis at the BMW Charity Pro-Am on the Nationwide Tour, Seve Benson at the Piemonte Open on the European Challenge Tour and Daniel Im at the Iberostar Riviera Maya Open on Canadian Tour.
