Nick O'Hern from Australia beat countryman Peter Lonard at the fourth hole of a sudden-death play-off at the Cadbury Schweppes Australian PGA Championship in Coolum. O'Hern holed his bunker shot for a birdie at the final play-off hole and with the win climbs 13 places in the Official World Golf Ranking to 22nd.

Nick O'Hern from Australia beat countryman Peter Lonard at the fourth hole of a sudden-death play-off at the Cadbury Schweppes Australian PGA Championship in Coolum. O'Hern holed his bunker shot for a birdie at the final play-off hole and with the win climbs 13 places in the Official World Golf Ranking to 22nd.

Alvaro Quiros from Spain shot a closing 67 to win the Alfred Dunhill Championship by one stroke from South African Charl Schwartzel at Leopard Creek Country Club. This was first tournament since earning a full European Tour card and with victory Quiros jumps to World Number 176, a leap of 148 positions.

Paraguay’s Fabrizio Zanotti carded a final round of six under par 65 to win the Abierto Mexicano Corona, a European Challenge Tour event. Zanotti is now World Number 451.
