Phil Mickelson picked up the second Major Championship of his career at the weather delayed 87th PGA Championship at Baltusrol, New Jersey. 12 players had to return to complete their final rounds on Monday morning with Mickelson winning by a single stroke from Thomas Bjorn and Steve Elkington thanks to a birdie on the 18th. Mickelson displaces injured Ernie Els as World Number 3, whilst Bjorn is up 10 places to World Number 21, and Elkington leaps 81 places to World Number 48 earning a place in this week’s WGC-NEC Invitational.

Mikael Lundberg took the Cadillac Russian Open, a Dual Ranking event on the European and Challenge Tours played at the Le Meridien Moscow Country Club, with a birdie at the fourth extra hole in a Play-Off with Andrew Butterfield. Lundberg moves up to World Number 304.

On the Nationwide Tour Roger Tambellini won the Price Cutter Charity Championship by a single stroke from a group of 4 players to move to Number 414 in the Official World Golf Ranking.
