Richard Sterne from South Africa also picked up a career first win on the European Tour with a two-stroke victory at the Open de Madrid at Club de Campo in Madrid. Richard now lies at 202nd in the Official World Golf Ranking.
Toru Taniguchi won for the second consecutive week on the Japan Golf Tour; this week’s win came at the Bridgestone Open at Sodegaura Country Club. Toru is now World Number 66.
This week’s other winners were D.J. Trahan at the Miccosukee Championship on the Nationwide Tour, David Drysdale who won the season ending Bouygues Telecom Grand Final on the European Challenge Tour and Terry Pilkadaris who tasted victory at the Crowne Plaza Open in Shanghai on the Asian Tour.
