On the European Tour this week, Mark O’Meara completed his first European Tour victory since the 1998 Open Championship as he fired a final-round 69 to win the Dubai Desert Classic at the Emirates Golf Club. O’Meara improves 121 positions on this week’s Official World Golf Ranking and returns to the World Top-100 at No.80. Ernie Els remains at World No.3 despite finishing T3 and Tiger Woods moves 4.71 clear at the top of the Official World Golf Ranking as he finishes T5.

On the European Tour this week, Mark O’Meara completed his first European Tour victory since the 1998 Open Championship as he fired a final-round 69 to win the Dubai Desert Classic at the Emirates Golf Club. O’Meara improves 121 positions on this week’s Official World Golf Ranking and returns to the World Top-100 at No.80. Ernie Els remains at World No.3 despite finishing T3 and Tiger Woods moves 4.71 clear at the top of the Official World Golf Ranking as he finishes T5.

From a European viewpoint, runner-up Paul McGinley moves up to No.101 on the World Ranking while Englishman David Howell continues his progress as he moves into the World Top-100 at No.90 and up to 12th place on the Ryder Cup points list with 465,210 points. With Brian Davis moving into the World Top-50 for the first time, there are now three Englishmen in the World Top-50 and eight within the World Top-100.

On the PGA Tour this week, Australian Craig Parry holed a 6-iron from the middle of the 18th fairway for an incredible first play-off hole eagle and victory in the Ford Championship at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa. The eagle gave Parry his first PGA Tour victory since the 2002 WGC-NEC Invitational and means he improves to No.35 on this weeks Official World Golf Ranking.

In the weeks only other tournament, Chris Wisler from Dover, Delaware won the Barton Creek Challenge in Texas for his first Canadian Tour victory since the 2002 Lewis Chitengwa Memorial Championship. Chris moves up to World No. 825=.
