Thomas Levet secured victory in the Barclays Scottish Open on the European Tour with a stunning 63 to win by a stroke from Michael Campbell. The Frenchman moved through the field with a back 9 of 29 and has climbed to number 64 in the Official World Golf Ranking, a rise of 57 places.

Thomas Levet secured victory in the Barclays Scottish Open on the European Tour with a stunning 63 to win by a stroke from Michael Campbell. The Frenchman moved through the field with a back 9 of 29 and has climbed to number 64 in the Official World Golf Ranking, a rise of 57 places.

Mark Hensby won the John Deere Classic, his first PGA Tour title, after a playoff with England’s John E Morgan after the pair had tied on 16 under par. Hensby improves his position in the World Ranking by 39 places and is now World Number 59.

On the Japan Golf Tour this week Shingo Katayama won the Woodone Open Hiroshima by five strokes and is closing in on a World Top 50 spot in 53rd position.

This week’s other winners were Kevin Stadler at the Scholarship America Showdown on the Nationwide Tour, Johan Axgren at the Open de Volcans Challenge de France on the European Challenge Tour and Erik Compton at the MTS Classic on the Canadian Tour.
