The victory is Singh’s third PGA TOUR victory of 2003 and he moves up to the top of the US PGA Tour money list with $5,702,507.

The victory is Singh’s third PGA TOUR victory of 2003 and he moves up to the top of the US PGA Tour money list with $5,702,507.

On the European Tour this week, South-African Retief Goosen won the 34th and final Trophee Lancome at the Saint-Nom-La-Breteche Golf Club in Paris, France. Retief moves up 2 positions to No.10 in the world and is still the second-highest ranked South-African on the Official World Golf Ranking after Ernie Els at World No.2. Local favourite Raphael Jacquelin continued his good 2003 season with a T4 finish and the Frenchman improves to World No.167.

In the week’s other tournaments, Jyoti Randhawa became the first Indian to win on the Japan Golf Tour as his 8-under par total was good enough to win the Suntory Open at the Sobu Country Club. Jyoti improves to No.169 in the world while American Phil Mickelson finished T18 and drops out of the World Top-10 this week to No.11. In the Benmore Developments Northern Ireland Masters on the European Challenge Tour, Ulsterman Darren Clarke shot an 11-under par 273 to win and he remains at No.13 in the world. On the Asian PGA Tour, Lin Wen-Ko won the Mercuries Masters in Taiwan and Lin is the new world No.565=. In the Oregon Classic on the US Nationwide Tour, Chris Couch beat Jason Bohn in a play-off and he is the new World No.460.
