After a two-month lay-off, the World No.1 Tiger Woods returned to PGA Tour action this week and secured a comfortable four-stroke victory in the Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines Golf Club in San Diego, California. This is Woods’ 35th PGA Tour victory and he has now been at the summit of the Official World Golf Ranking for 252 weeks - 183 of them consecutively.

This is Woods’ 35th PGA Tour victory and he has now been at the summit of the Official World Golf Ranking for 252 weeks - 183 of them consecutively. Carl Pettersson’s runner-up finish means that he moves up from No.121 to just outside today’s Accenture Match Play qualification mark at No.67 – an improvement of 54 positions. Brad Faxon improves 11 positions to No.36 due to his 3rd place finish.
