In the Johnnie Walker Classic on the European Tour, Ernie Els continued his record-breaking 2003 season as his 29-under par total resulted in a 10-stroke victory at the Lake Karrinyup Country Club in Perth, Western Australia. Els, currently the holder of the US PGA Tour scoring record, is now the holder of the European Tour’s as his 29-under 259 beat the previous record of 261 by two strokes. Els will now play the second-lowest qualifier in the Accenture Match Play Championship. Runners-up Andre Stolz and Stephen Leaney improved 59 positions to No. 83 and 14 positions to No.49 respectively.
