On the US PGA Tour, Mike Weir moves up 21 positions to World No.18 as he won the 90-hole Bob Hope Chrysler Classic at La Quinta in California. Runner-up Jay Haas puts himself firmly into the Accenture Match Play Championship picture by improving 61 spots to World No.64 while Chris DiMarco finished T3 and moves into the Top-10 at No.10. The winners of the first four PGA Tour tournaments in 2003 have an aggregate score of 100 under-par and it is the first time since 1927 that all four opening events on the PGA Tour have been won by foreign-born players.
