On the US PGA Tour this week, Jim Furyk won the Memorial Tournament in Columbus, Ohio and in doing so improved 14 positions, back into the world Top-10 at No.9. John Cook finished as a runner-up and John’s 21-position improvement takes him back into the World Top-50 at No.42 whilst David Peoples jumps 32 places to No.84. David Duval finished T4 and moves up to No.6 in the world.
Anders Hansen secured his maiden European Tour victory by winning the Volvo PGA Championship at Wentworth and moving up 90 positions to World No.51. Eduardo Romero and Colin Montgomerie finished as the runners-up and as a result Eduardo moves up 51 places to No.57 and Colin moves back into the World Top-20 at No.17.
In the 7th Tournament of the 2002 Japan Golf Tour season, Kenichi Kuboya completed back-to-back victories as he won the Musingwear KSB Cup in Kagawa. Kenichi moves to World No.131.
On the European Challenge Tour, Fredrik Widmark moves to No.510 in the world after he won the Izki Challenge de Espana. In the WA PGA Championship, Kim Felton was victorious and Kim moves to World No.230.
