PGA Tour - Tour Championship

Dustin Johnson won the TOUR Championship and the FedExCup, capitalising on his starting position of 10-under par, earned by his exquisite play throughout 2020 and, in particular, over the last month.

OWGR points are awarded based upon the 72-hole scores at East Lake.

Xander Schauffele had the lowest total of 265, the only player to shoot 4 rounds in the 60s earning first place points of 52, moving up the Ranking to World No. 7 from 11.

Japan Golf Tour - Fujisankei Classic

Week 36 marked the return of the Japan Golf Tour with Rikuya Hoshino beating Mikumu Horikawa in a playoff at the Fujisankei Classic. Hoshino moved back into the World Top 100 at World No.99.

European Tour - Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucia Masters

American John Catlin claimed his maiden European Tour title with a wire to wire victory at the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucia Masters after seeing off former World Number One Martin Kaymer in a thrilling final round battle. Catlin moved back into the World Top 200 at World No.145.

The American began the day with a two stroke advantage but saw the lead change hands throughout the afternoon at Real Club Valderrama, with Catlin finally shaking off two time Major Champion Kaymer with a par at the last to win by a single shot.

Sunshine Tour - Titleist Championship

George Coetzee added yet another title to the many he has won at Pretoria Country Club over the years, claiming the Sunshine Tour’s Titleist Championship by four shots, moving 13 spots up the Ranking to World No.147.

There was a sense of inevitability to Coetzee’s triumph on a golf course he has known and loved since he first played it and won a tournament here at the age of 10, and where he’s also won two European Tour titles in the 2015 and 2018 Tshwane Opens.

And now he can add the Titleist Championship to that list as he closed with a 66 to win this Rise-Up Series tournament on 13-under-par 203.

“It’s a very special victory because Pretoria Country Club and Titleist have supported me my whole career, so to win with both involved this week is truly special,” he said.

Teeing off tied for the lead with Tristen Strydom on seven under par, Coetzee struggled at the start as he opened with back-to-back bogeys. But it was his run of six birdies in seven holes from the fourth that distanced him from the rest of the field. Further birdies at holes 14 and 17 confirmed his victory.

Pro Golf Tour - Schladming Dachstein Open 2020 powered by EURAM BANK

23-year-old German Thomas Rosenmüller secured his third title this year at the Schladming Dachstein Open 2020 powered by EURAM BANK in Austria jumping to a career best of World No. 330. His third win in a season promotes him straight on to the European Challenge Tour.

With a total 17 under par the professional from Munich relegated his compatriot Moritz Lampert and Poland's Mateusz Gradecki to second place after 54 holes; they both finished 13 under par on the beautiful Schladming Dachstein golf course.

Korn Ferry Tour - Lincoln Land Championship presented by LRS

Bret Dewitt claimed his first Korn Ferry Tour title at the Lincoln Land Championship presented by LRS jumping 426 spots to a career best of World No.389.

At 19-under 265, Drewitt edged a trio of players by one stroke. In the end, he carded five birdies and two bogeys on Sunday for a closing 3-under 68, but perhaps more importantly, he parred his final two holes. The par-3 17th (215 yards) and the par-4 18th (451 yards) played as the two toughest holes on the course on Sunday.

Playing in the penultimate group, Drewitt had to wait to see if rookie Austen Truslow would make birdie to force a playoff. Nervously hitting shots on the driving range, Drewitt knew it was over when fellow Korn Ferry Tour pro Tag Ridings came running towards him to shower him in beer.

“I look over and saw Tag giving me the fist-pump from by the 18th green, and then they started running over towards me and Cam, my caddie, said, ‘Man you did it,’” laughed Drewitt. “At that point I was just bracing myself for the beer to get sprayed all over me.”

The win celebrates a high point in what had previously been a disappointing season for the 29-year-old. He is one of six players who have played in all 19 events thus far but entering the week he had made just six cuts. Including this tournament, he had competed in 13 consecutive weeks.

Challenge Tour - Northern Ireland Open supported by The R&A

Tyler Koivisto completed a remarkable victory in his first Official World Golf Ranking recognised event by winning the Northern Ireland Open Supported by The R&A entering the Ranking at World No.495.

The American, teeing it up in his first European Challenge Tour event, posted a final round three under par 67 to reach 13 under par at Galgorm Castle Golf Club, two strokes clear of Norway’s Kristian Krogh Johannessen in second place on 11 under par.

Koivisto spent three years as a schoolteacher after university before taking up golf full-time two years ago and is now faced with a promising future after a life-changing victory which secures him full Challenge Tour playing privileges.

“It’s very special,” he said. “Golfing wise, probably the best week of my life. For my wife, our wedding, obviously, was the best week of my life.

“They called me up last week and asked me if I could fly to Northern Ireland and I said yes, I’m going to take any opportunity I can get. I was mostly playing mini tour stuff in the States, some Monday qualifiers and I taught for three years.

The Minnesotan showed the calmness of an experienced winner coming down the stretch at Galgorm Castle and he highlighted the birdie at the 15th hole as a pivotal moment.

“I think the birdie I made on 15 was huge,” he said. “Just because I had seen a lot of putts burn the edge or my pace was a little weird. That went in the side door then and I thought to myself ‘yeah, I’m going to get this done now’. I hit three really good tee shots coming down the stretch and that was very special.

“That scene on the 18th green was special, and it was nice to see my name on the top of the leaderboard. All the hard work you put in, it’s nice to see it pay off and get to the next level.”

Alps Tour Golf - Cervino Alps Open

After a closely fought final round, Jordi Garcia del Moral emerged victorious at the Cervino Open with an overall 189 (-15) jumping 569 spots to World No. 815.

Teeing off in at 9;28am, there was a moment of doubt for the Spanish player after a wobbly start on the 1st and 2nd - “I made bogey, bogey on the first two holes and I was thinking that the same thing could happen as happened at the Gösser Open. So, on the third tee I was thinking that my game had been perfect the last two days, so I just had to stay focussed.”

And focussed he became, firing two birdies and six pars for par (34) to be back to -11 overall on the 10th tee. However, his playing partner and yesterday’s joint leader, Sebastien Gandon from France, played -1 (33) for a -12 to be one stroke ahead at this point. And the third member of the flight, the Dutchman, Pierre Verlaar carded a -2 (34) to stand at -10.

Nordic Golf League - TanumStrand Fjällbacka Open

Former European Tour player Pelle Edberg won the TanumStrand Fjällbacka Open in 15 under par after rounds of 65-65-68.

The Swede earned 4 Ranking points moving from unranked to World No.960.

PGA Tour Canada, China and LatinoAmerica - The Invitational at Auburn University Club

Cooper Musselman ended up in a playoff with two-time LOCALiQ Series winner Bryson Nimmer to take the win at the LOCALiQ Series - The Invitational at Auburn University Club moving to World No.960.

On the fourth playoff hole against the LOCALiQ Series’ top player, Musselman two-putted for par from 30 feet on Auburn University Club’s 11th hole and then watched as Nimmer missed a 13-foot putt for par that gave Musselman the win, 500 Race to The Bahamas points and a $16,000 first-place check.

“There are some really good players in the state of Kentucky, and that win felt like a really good win because that was my first big win,” Musselman said thinking of his victory as an amateur at the 2017 Kentucky State Open. “I think this win is a little better because the competition is so tough. I feel like anybody in the field could win this. Everybody here is pretty good, and it gives me some confidence for sure.”
