PGA Tour - Travelers Championship

In the final round of the 2017 Travelers Championship, Jordan Spieth holed out from the bunker for birdie and the win in a sudden death playoff on the par-4 18th hole.

The two-time major champion holed out from 60 feet for birdie from a greenside bunker on the first hole of a playoff with Daniel Berger on Sunday at TPC River Highlands.

The 23-year-old Texan joined Tiger Woods as the only PGA TOUR players with 10 victories in the era since World War II. Woods won 15 times before he turned 24.

"That was one for the ages," said Spieth, also the winner at Pebble Beach in February.

Spieth held a one-stroke edge after each of the first three rounds. He closed with an even-par 70 to match Berger -- who birdied three of the final six holes for a 67 -- at 12-under 268.

Berger, the Memphis winner two weeks ago before missing the cut last week at the U.S. Open, just missed a 50-foot putt from off the 18th green left that would have forced a second playoff hole.

"Jordan does Jordan things," Berger said. "So there's not really much you can say. I'm obviously disappointed, but happy to be in the position I was in today."

Korean Golf Tour – The 60th KPGA Championship with A-ONE CC

Junggon Hwang won the 60th KPGA Championship title at A-One Country Club in Yangsan, South Gyeongsang Province.

Hwang made an eagle, four birdies and a bogey to finish one shot ahead of the runner-up finishers, Lee and Kim Gi-hwan moving to World No. 148.

European Tour - BMW International Open

Andres Romero held his nerve down the stretch to claim his first European Tour title in ten years at the BMW International Open.

The final round at Golfclub München Eichenried came down to a four-way battle between Romero, Masters Tournament champion Sergio Garcia, Richard Bland and Thomas Detry on a day of high drama in Bavaria.

Tournament invite Romero produced a closing birdie to sign for a 65 and set the target at 17 under and with the final pairing of Bland and Garcia both carding late bogeys, the Argentinian won his first European Tour title since the Deutsche Bank Players' Championship of Europe in 2007.

Romero had not made a regular European Tour appearance since the 2012 BMW Masters and his last top ten came at the BMW PGA Championship in 2008.

"I'm really happy, after ten years winning on the European Tour, especially here in Germany. I'm really, really happy," he said.

Web.com Tour – Lincoln Land Charity Championship

Adam Schenk grew up a little over three hours away from Panther Creek Country Club, the site of his maiden Web.com Tour victory. The 25-year-old from Vincennes, Indiana buried a 25-foot putt on the second playoff hole to defeat Eric Axley, William Kropp and Kyle Thompson in a playoff at the Lincoln Land Charity Championship.

The quartet were knotted at 14-under-par 270 at the end of regulation.

“What an unbelievable experience,” said Schenk, who picked up his first win in his 37th career Tour start. “I can’t believe I’m holding it (the trophy). I thought I lost the tournament two or three times and was just lucky to make that last putt.”

Challenge Tour – Made in Denmark Challenge – presented by Ejner Hessel

Oscar Stark sealed a maiden European Challenge Tour victory with a closing birdie to win the Made in Denmark Challenge – presented by Ejner Hessel by two shots at Royal Oak Golf Club.

The Swede stayed calm in difficult windy conditions to close with a three under par 69 and finish on 14 under par overall, with Dominic Foos, Victor Perez and Adrien Saddier in a tie for second place.

Stark’s victory takes him to seventh spot in the Road to Oman Rankings though, on a day of much movement on the leaderboard, he was not aware of his achievement until his final putt dropped on the last green.

EuroPro Tour - The PDC Golf Championship

Chris Lloyd cemented his place at the top of the HotelPlanner.com PGA EuroPro Tour’s Race To Amendoeira with a play-off victory in the PDC Golf Championship at Studley Wood Golf Club in Oxfordshire, his second consecutive win.

Lloyd (The Kendleshire; 65, 67, 76) defeated Alasdair Dalgliesh (Haywards Heath Golf Club; 67, 69, 72) with a birdie on the first play-off hole – the par-five 18th – to land the £10,000 winner’s prize. It puts him over £13,000 clear of second place on the tour money list and halfway towards earning the £250,000 four-win bonus offered by the tour this season.

Lloyd began the day in a tie for the -14 lead with James Ruth (China Fleet Country Club; 68, 64, 79) but despite moving to -15 with a birdie at the third eventually finished -11 after a final round 76.

Asian Development Tour – Taifong Open

Thai hotshot Pannakorn Uthaipas gave himself the perfect birthday gift by securing a three-shot victory for his first Asian Development Tour (ADT) title at the US$160,000 Taifong Open on Sunday.

The talented Thai, who turns 27 in three days, overcame a shaky start where he traded two birdies against two bogeys in his opening five holes with three birdies on his way home for a closing three-under-par 69 and a winning total of 13-under-par 275 at the Taifong Golf Course

Nordic Golf League – Borre Open

Per Längfors from Ringenas Golf Club won the Borre Open after rounds of 68, 70 and 69. A total of 11 under par.

Despite two closing bogeys on holes 17 and 18 stretched all the way to win by one stroke over Aksel Kristoffer Olsen, Anton Wejshag and Daniel Løkke.

“I've had a pretty rough start to the year and actually had a bit too high expectations for myself because I played so well last year. But the week before now in Denmark, I found a sense of where I could go out and play without any expectations largely. I was fourth there and managed to keep the same feeling in Norway where I could always take a punch at a time. I did not expect to win the last day either, but I took a punch at a time and it proved enough for victory”.

Alps Tour Golf – Open de la Mirabelle d’or

France’s Maxime Radureau fired astonishing 62, -9 for -22 total and won maiden title in Open de la Mirabelle d’or. Overnight leader Antoine Rozner confessed he could not do anything aagainst this outrageous game of his compatriot. Shawn Jones from New Zealand finished third on his own with -15.

"A great round, I was totally focus all day long. I was patient and last nine hole was like in a dream. I played -8 from 9th to 18th. » said Radureau”.

"These results really pleased me and give some confidence as I was playing well since the beginning of the season but I did not get the results I expected. Finally a new era has come this as far as my putting is concern. I have not been putting well since for months and this week, I finally holed many putts”.

MENA Golf Tour – The Roar

Daniel Hammond rode a hot start to break free from the chasing pack and win The Roar, the third and final event on the MENA Tour’s South Africa swing, co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Big Easy Tour, at Waterkloof Golf Club on Thursday.

Starting the final round one back, the 26-year-old South African signed for a solid five-under 67 to finish on 14-under, beating his nearest challenger and MENA Tour regular Matias Calderon by one shot for his third victory on the Sunshine Tour.

The South African duo Danie Van Niekerk and Combrinck Smit shared third on 11 under as Czech Republic’s Cyril Suk, two behind at the start, returned a 71 to settle for tied seventh on nine-under, two clear of England’s Scott Campbell, who matched the day’s low score of a 66 after dropping a bogey on the first, to finish in a tie for 14th along with fellow Englishman Jordan Garnish.

“I played really, really solidly,” said Hammond, who rattled up five birdies and an eagle against two bogeys. “It’s been a while, I have won twice before on the Big Easy Tour and to win this is a biggest thing of my career so far since I turned pro.

“So I’m really chuffed with that. Hopefully, I can build on this and take it to the main tour and show what I can do,” said Hammond, who reiterated that a change of attitude towards the game has helped him a lot and he attributes the win to that shift. "So, like I said in the week, it’s just trying to have a positive outlook on everything,” he said.
