PGA Tour - Wells Fargo Championship

A string of eight straight missed cuts will do that to you. Hahn hadn't played on the weekend since Super Bowl Sunday back in February. He hadn't broken 70 in his last 18 rounds.

So he and his caddie, Mark Urbanek, sat down at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and had a heart-to-heart. They both knew Hahn was a better player than that. He needed to believe in himself again.

The conversation worked wonders, too. Not only did Hahn hang around to play the weekend at the Wells Fargo Championship, he ended up winning the tournament on the first hole of sudden death with Roberto Castro.

That's how quickly things can change. The victory was Hahn's second on the PGA TOUR and boosted him from 120th to 26th in the FedExCup entering this week's PLAYERS Championship.

"The mind is a powerful thing and it was going bad for a while," Hahn recalled. "Just didn't have the confidence, didn't believe in myself. I felt like I was putting in the work but wasn't getting any reward for it, so it made me not want to put in as much work because it's not gratifying.

European Tour – Trophée Hassan II

Jeunghun Wang holed three remarkable putts on the 18th green to see off Nacho Elvira after extra holes on a dramatic final day at the Trophée Hassan II.

The Korean had to hole an 18 foot effort on the 72nd hole to force a play-off after Spain’s Elvira had also birdied the last following an excellent approach to within a couple of feet.

Elvira then looked to be in control of the first extra hole when he reached the par five 18th in two, but Wang made a 50 foot birdie effort and then converted from 20 feet for a winning gain when the pair replayed the hole.

The finish was fitting of a thrilling final round where the lead changed hands regularly, with difficult conditions and a testing Royal Golf Dar Es Salam layout creating a war of attrition.

Overnight leader Chris Hanson fell away after a double bogey at the eighth – paying a heavy price for missing the fairway and then failing to get up and down from the side of the green.

Challenge Tour – Turkish Airlines Challenge

Clément Sordet secured his second European Challenge Tour title, holding his nerve on the last hole to win the Turkish Airlines Challenge by one shot in Belek.

The Frenchman started the final round as the overnight leader and carded a three under par 69 in his final round at Gloria Golf Club.

Compatriot Matthieu Pavon, who held the lead after Friday’s second round, eagled the last hole to draw level on 19 under par after an excellent 66 that kept the tension high until the very end.

Sordet, who won his first title at the 2015 Northern Ireland Open, kept his cool and found the green on the par five 18th hole with his second shot, giving himself two putts for the title from ten feet.

Korean Golf Tour / One Asia - The 35th GS Caltax Maekyung Open

Korean Park Sanghyun triumphed in the GS Caltex Maekyung Open today after beating countryman Lee Soomin on the second hole of a sudden-death play-off.

Park won the title by shooting a final round four-under-par 68 to finish tied with Lee, in with a 70, on eight-under-par 280.

A par on the second extra hole was enough to secure victory and a cheque for nearly US$170,000.

Lee led by one shot at the start of the day at Namseoul Country Club and was left to rue a costly bogey on the final hole of normal time.

Korean Kyungtae, winner of The Crowns tournament last weekend in Japan, shared third place a stroke further back with compatriot Lee Changwoo - winner of the 2013 Asia-Pacific Amateur. They both closed with 69s.

Alps Tour Golf – Gösser Open

England’s Matt Wallace seems to be untouchable on Alps Tour this season. He signed for best score of the day during first in Gösser Open, 66 and then, when the game resumed this morning to complete second round, he holed birdies to record a 64 eight under par card for -14 total and a five shot advantage over France’s Raphaël Marguery and Austria’s Robin Goger.

Wallace moves from 419 to 346 in the World Ranking.

Sunshine Tour – Investec Royal Swazi Open

Titch Moore took a commanding four point lead into the final round of the Investec Royal Swazi Open, and his hopeful challengers were left in the dust thanks to a final round 18 point eight-under-par 64.

Try as they might, but the chasing pack simply couldn’t keep up with the much loved Sunshine Tour veteran. “I got off to a nice start with a birdie on the first and a birdie on four and then hit a good shot on five but got really lucky and made eagle. I mean the guys were asking me how many points I had and I didn’t have a clue. I thought I had like 12 or 14 points, and I looked and it was 18. It’s amazing when things go your way how quickly they add up,” he explained.

MENA Golf Tour – Ras Al Khaimah Classic

Zane Scotland eagled the first extra hole to win the Ras Al Khaimah Classic in a three-way playoff at Tower Links Golf Club on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old from London stuffed his approach shot to within 15 feet and holed the ensuing putt at the par-5, 18th to seal his 11th title on the MENA Golf Tour after finishing tied with overnight leader Craig Hinton and Miles Tunnicliff at 10-under par in regulation play.

“Obviously, I am delight to win another title on the tour -- and winning it in a playoff under pressure makes it even special,” said Scotland after receiving the winner’s cheque for $9,000 from Simon Payne of Tower Links Golf Club and Rodney Bogg of the MENA Golf Tour.

“It was one of those days when I just couldn't build any momentum because I wasn't making any putts. It was kind of very boring golf. I knew I had to stay patient and focused on every shot which I tried to do,” said Scotland, who carded a final round 70.

Starting the day one shot in front, Hinton also felt he just failed to summon his A Game when it mattered the most. “Basically, nothing went in and nothing went my way, just scrambled to hold it together,” said the 27-year-old from Thame.

“It’s my fourth runner-up finish on the MENA Golf Tour and this one, in particular, will haunt me as I led from the start to the playoff,” said Hinton, who joined the tour in 2013.

“There is always hope for tomorrow. Hopefully, I will be able to get over the line in some other event on the tour this season. Let’s see how things pan out.”

Tunnicliff, a two-time winner on the European Tour, hit what he called a perfect shot from the bunker on the first extra hole, but it took a hard bounce and landed in the lake.
