PGA Tour – The Barclays

Backing up from his major breakthrough at the PGA Championship, Day carded a brilliant bogey-free final-round eight-under-par 62 in New Jersey on Monday (AEST) to secure his fourth victory this year.

Day now enters the race for the No. 1 spot alongside Jordan Spieth.

The world number three finished at 19-under for the championship, six shots clear of Swede Henrik Stenson (66) and will head to the second event in the four-tournament playoffs in Boston in pole position to land the $US10 million ($A13.96 million) bonus prize.

European Tour - D+D REAL Czech Masters

Thomas Pieters saw off stiff competition from Pelle Edberg to claim his first European Tour title at the D+D REAL Czech Masters moving to World No. 141st.

The 23 year old recovered from a double bogey on his front nine to card a three under par 69 and finish the week on 20 under, three shots clear of Sweden's Edberg in second.

"To be a European Tour winner is an amazing feeling right now. I’m happy to have my family with me and I’m very proud of the way I played today, especially after that early double.

“I had some really good numbers coming in on the back nine so I could hit it full. On 18 I had a perfect number and I hit a good shot and good putt, which was a nice way to finish.

"To say I can hold on to a lead and go low is nice. I’ve not really done that before. To be able to shoot 20 under par is great.

“I tried to stay patient today and I think I did a really good job. I was very nervous coming down the stretch to be honest. That just goes away the more you are in contention, and I’m looking forward to doing it again.”


Japan Golf Tour – RIZAP KBC Augusta

Former winner, Yuta Ikeda, made it two RIZAP KBC Augusta titles when he extended his one shot 54 hole lead to five with a final round of 66 at the Keya Golf Club in Fukuoka.

For Ikeda it was his 13th Japan Tour victory and takes his career earnings to close to $8 million and moves to World No. 154.

Koumei Oda finished alone in second position while Brad Kennedy continued his great season in Japan to finish in 3rd position and now moves to 3rd on the 2015 money list and becomes the leading Australian in Japan this year.


Korean Golf Tour – The 58th KPGA Championship

Jang Dong-kyu, 26, won the 58th KPGA Championship at the Sky72 Golf Club in

Incheon on Sunday.

Jang won the event at 24-under 264, setting a new 72-hole record in the KPGA Tour previously held by Spain’s Sergio Garcia at the 2002 Korea Open with 23-under 265. It was also Jang’s first victory in the KPGA Tour, where he debuted in 2008 moving to World No 254 and collected 160 million won ($136,000) for the victory.


Web.com – WinCo Foods Portland Open presented by Kraft Heinz

Veteran Dicky Pride, riding a late-season wave of momentum, carded a 4-under 67 Sunday to win the WinCo Foods Portland Open and earn his PGA TOUR card for the 2015-16 season. Pride, who led by four shots entering the final round at the Witch Hollow course at Pumpkin Ridge, finished at 20-under 264, three strokes in front of Tim Herron (66) and four ahead of a late surging Tommy Gainey (65). Pride Moves up the World Ranking to 262nd place.

Floridian Ryan Blaum (65), first-round leader Curtis Thompson (68) and Colorado’s Shane Bertsch (69) tied for fourth but a distant seven shots back of the 46-year old winner in the Web.com Tour’s Regular Season finale.

“For a guy that talks a lot, I don’t have a lot to say,” said Pride, who earned his first Tour-sanctioned win in more than 20 years. “It’s hasn’t been a couple years, it’s been a couple decades since I hit the winner’s circle. It’s really nice to be back.”


Sunshine Tour - Sun Wild Coast Sun Challenge

Vaughn Groenewald clinched a one-shot victory at the Sun Wild Coast Sun Challenge on Friday after shooting 32 on the back nine to finish the week on 12-under-par and moving to World No 325.

“It’s an amazing feeling to win. I started well and kept on going today, playing for greens in regulation and relying on my putter, which is hot at the moment. I’m really happy that I pulled it off,” he said.

Groenewald went nine years without a trophy until he won the Zambia Sugar Open in April. This week at Wild Coast Sun Country Club he added another piece of silverware and proved that he’s still got it.


Nordic Golf League – K-Supermarket Kamppi Open

Norwegian Kristian Krogh Johannessen won his second NGL event since being incorporeated into the World Ranking System seeing him move to World No. 627.

"I knew that I have to play really well today, if I wanted to succeed. I succeeded in my aim, and I played a really secure the round. Then, when birdiejä began to come, so I gave a go," the last four holes in three under par playing Johannessen said.

"Finland is good to organize a competition. This, as well as the previous gaming competition in Finland were really well organized races.


Mackenzie Tour PGA Tour Canada - The Great Waterway Classic

British Columbia’s Brad Clapp eagled the 72nd hole to shoot a final round 5-under 67 Loyalist Golf and Country Club on Sunday and cap off a win at The Great Waterway Classic, earning his first Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada victory.

The 28-year old, who was born in nearby Trenton, Ontario and raised for the first 10 years of his life in southeastern Ontario won by four shots over Toronto’s Albin Choi, Indiana’s Seath Lauer, Michigan’s Ryan Brehm, England’s Charlie Bull, California’s Ben Geyer and Florida’s Chase Marinell.

“It still hasn't sunk in yet. It's a little surreal, knowing how good this tour is and knowing how good you have to play four days in a row. It's a huge accomplishment,” said Clapp, who moves to seventh on the Order of Merit with three events to go.

EuroPro Tour - Clipper Logistics Players Championship

Mark Laskey won the HotelPlanner.com PGA EuroPro Tour’s first 72-hole event – the Clipper Logistics Players Championship at Moor Allerton Golf Club – by two- strokes from Steve Uzzell.

Welshman Laskey carded a final-round 68, three under par, for the eight under win, his second on the EuroPro Tour having won at Rowallan Castle in 2013.

The victory sees him move to seventh on the Race To Desert Springs and is a welcome boost for the Brocket Hall based player, who recently returned from a three-week absence forced upon him by appendix surgery and moves to World No. 763


Asian Development Tour – Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament

Michael Tran of Vietnam sensationally won his maiden Asian Development Tour (ADT) title after defeating overnight co-leader Lam Chih Bing of Singapore on the first play-off hole at the Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament on Saturday moving to World No. 763.

Tran, who was one shot off the pace heading into the final round, signed for a closing four-under-par 68 after sinking a crucial 15-footer birdie putt on the last hole 18th to force a play-off with Lam, who bogeyed the hole for a 69, at the US$100,000 ADT event.

The duo were tied on 18-under-par 270 total in regulation play before returning to the par-five 18th for the play-off battle where Tran outplayed Lam with a birdie against a par at the Damai Indah Golf, BSD course.

Thailand’s Sutijet Kooratanapisan, who held a share of the overnight lead, settled one shot back in third place with American Jarin Todd after signing for rounds of 70 and 68 respectively while Panuwat Muenlek, also of Thailand, took fifth place on his own on 273 following a 71.
