Web.com - News Sentinel Open presented by Pilot

Patton Kizzire slowly pulled away from the field Sunday to win the News Sentinel Open for his second win in four weeks. The 29-year-old Web.com Tour rookie capped off a stellar weekend with his second straight 7-under 64 to finish at 20-under par and win by four shots over Korea’s Si Woo Kim and Canada’s Brad Fritsch.

“It’s surreal. I still don’t realize that I won. It was a grind but it was fun,” said Kizzire, who started the final day two shots off the pace at Fox Den Country Club. “I don’t like to think about numbers, but 20 was a hard number to ignore. That’s a milestone in itself. That was in my mind. I don’t like doing that but it was there.”

Kizzire, an Auburn grad, donned a Tennessee-orange sport jacket while picking up a check for $99,000. “It’s a good orange to wear today,” he said while holding the champion’s trophy.

PGA Tour - Wyndham Championship

Davis Love III became the third oldest winner of a PGA Tour title after an enthralling final day at the Wyndham Championship. Love closed with a stunning six-under 64 which proved enough for a one-shot win and his third victory in the event - 23 years after his first - while Tiger Woods will miss out on the FedExCup Play-Offs after failing to contend for the win he needed to elevate him to World No 136th.

European Tour – Made in Denmark

David Horsey survived a late stumble to outlast the chasing pack and claim a wire-to-wire victory at the Made in Denmark.

The Englishman opened the week with a 63 at Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort and while his closing round was ten shots worse than that, it was enough to give him a 13 under par total and a two shot victory over a group of four players.

Horsey held a seven shot lead at one point in the third round and, although he was knocked off top spot briefly on Sunday afternoon, he dug in for a fourth European Tour title.

"It's a kick-start really," he said. "I've been playing well for quite a few months now and not really been getting any results and not scoring particularly well so to come out with a bit more strategy and a bit more focus this week has paid off.

"It was a bit of a strange week. I've been focusing on myself and not trying to get caught up in the tournament and I managed to do that so well it's nearly a bit of surprise.”

Challenge Tour – Rolex Trophy

Nacho Elvira claimed a stunning two shot victory in the ROLEX Trophy at the Golf Club de Genève to earn immediate promotion to The European Tour after his third European Challenge Tour win of the season.

The Spaniard previously triumphed in the Challenge de Madrid and the Kӓrnten Golf Open presented by Mazda and this composed win in Geneva – holding off Road to Oman Rankings leader Ricardo Gouveia – sees him return to The European Tour having played there in the 2014 season.

The 28 year old becomes the third player after Frenchman Benjamin Hebert and Swede Kristoffer Broberg to claim their career-changing third title at the prestigious ROLEX Trophy, where only 42 players make up the field and compete concurrently in a Pro-Am for the duration of the tournament.

Elvira was overwhelmed by his accomplishment after his final round of 67, five under par, took him to 24 under par for the week.

“It is unbelievable, it’s hard to describe,” he said. “I have been working for this very hard this year and it finally paid off. I feel very excited and I am very happy.

Sunshine Tour – Vodacom Origins of Golf presented by Samsung

Jean Hugo took a record 10th win on the Vodacom Origins of Golf presented by Samsung after he scored 74 at San Lameer Country Club on Saturday.

“If I look back at 10 years there are a lot of memories and you learn from these things. It wasn’t a simple win today and I’m glad it turned out well for me. It doesn’t get easier as time goes by,” he said.

“It was a struggle out there today and the guys didn’t let up. The groups in front of us were playing well and we knew what to do, and managed to do it, but only just,” he added.

PGA Tour of Australasia – Isuzu Queensland Open

Starting the final round two shots clear of the field, Bransdon opened with a staggering 11 straight pars while his playing partners were lighting up the golf course.

Fellow Victorian Michael Choi was the first to make a move on his lead, finding a birdie on the fourth hole and then soon taking the outright lead.

But it was Rohan Blizard who really blitzed the Brookwater course and his playing partners going an incredible 4-under in two holes.

Bransdon's patience paid off and his first birdie came at the par-4 12th hole by which time Choi had dropped off the pace making it a two horse race between Bransdon and Blizard.

At the end of the regulation 72 hole play the pair couldn't be separated, each having fired 12-under 276, a new scoring record while the tournament has been played at Brookwater Golf and Country Club.

Playing the par-4 18th hole sudden death Bransdon knew it was going to come down to the all important putter with neither player hitting their approach shots into the green particularly close.

PGA Tour Canada – National Capital Open to Support Our Troops

Longwood, Florida’s Sam Ryder prevailed in a sudden-victory playoff over Richmond Hill, Ontario’s Taylor Pendrith on Sunday at Hylands Golf Club to win the National Capital Open to Support Our Troops, his first Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada victory.

The win moves Ryder to second position on the Order of Merit with four events to go in the 2015 season, in position to earn status on the Web.com Tour for next season.

“I'm at a little bit of a loss for words right now, but it feels really good,” said Ryder.” I was already in great shape and had some really solid finishes this year. This feels really good and I think it solidifies myself as one of the contenders out here for sure.”

EuroPro Tour – Tree Of Life Championship

Marcus Armitage moved a step closer to a full Challenge Tour card with his second HotelPlanner.com PGA EuroPro Tour win of the season, taking home the Tree Of Life Championship title from Close House.

The 28-year-old finished the tournament 11 under par with a final-round 68, three under par. Ireland’s Brian Casey (Headford Golf Club; 68, 67, 68) went two under the card for his concluding 18 but finished second on nine under. Sebastian George Garcia Grout (Golf de Poniente Mallorca; 68, 69, 68) of Spain came third with a score of eight under.

Armitage led throughout the final round having started with a one-shot advantage. He negotiated the front nine with seven pars, a birdie at 7 and a bogey at 8 but pulled away from the field with an eagle at the 10th. He holed out on the 15th for birdie when a bogey looked likely and concluded the Tree Of Life Championship with three pars for victory.

Nordic Golf League – Landeryd Masters by Porsche Center Linköping

Christopher Lang led Landeryd Masters from start to finish. Gothenburger eventually won the contest with three strokes ahead of second.

“I tried to stay calm and knew that if I could shoot a low round I would win, so I felt actually quite cool all the way. It was not so many thoughts when I put the last putt on the 18th. It was just a great feeling. Landeryd has been the year's best weeks of the tour.”

Pro Golf Tour – Augsburg Classic 2015

It was only his fourth appearance on the Pro Golf Tour, but this one was very special for Romain Bechu from Versailles as it is his first victory since he turned pro in 2009. After he had shot 69 and 73 strokes on the first two days of the tournament he managed to play a perfect round with eight birdies in round 3. He also tied the course record 64 even though it had rained all day. Bechu took the lead early and left his opponents behind, but Sven Cremer finally was able to match with 10 under par when he played an amazing eagle on the 18th hole.

But it was exactly this hole where Bechu could defeat the German in the play-off after making a birdie. "I am overwhelmed by this victory, because it is my first one as a professional. It was a great tournament on a magnificent course with extraordinary greens“, Bechu said.
