WGC – Bridgestone Invitational

Shane Lowry shot a flawless final round of 66 to win the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in Akron and claim his third European Tour title.

The Irishman fired four birdies on Sunday to finish the tournament on 11 under par, two shots ahead of two time Major Champion Bubba Watson.

Lowry began the final round at Firestone Country Club two shots off the pace set by overnight co-leaders Justin Rose and Jim Furyk, but he wiped out the deficit with birdies on the second and eighth holes.

The 28 year old began his back nine with a birdie on the tenth to take a two shot lead over the chasing pack on ten under par.

Furyk went within a shot of Lowry when he sank his five foot birdie putt on the 11th, only to bogey the next and drop back to eight under.

Lowry maintained his two shot advantage with a superb par save from 20 feet on the 14th after finding a fairway bunker off the tee.

Lowry's lead was cut to one shot when Watson fired his sixth birdie of the day at the 17th to go to nine under par.

But he held his nerve and went 11 under par when he sank his six foot putt at the last to win his first WGC title.

Web.com – Digital Ally Open

Texan Martin Piller fired a bogey-free, 6-under 65 Sunday to win the Digital Ally Open, his second Web.com Tour title in three weeks taking him to World No. 168th

Piller started the final round at the Nicklaus Golf Club at LionsGate with a two-stroke lead and never allowed anyone to get closer than that as he matched the tournament record with his 26-under total of 258.

“This win gives me even more confidence going forward because I don’t feel I drove the ball particularly well this week but my irons were good and my chipping and putting were lights out,” said Piller, who led the field in putting with 101 for the four days. “I know now that I don’t have to drive it perfect and can still play well.”

PGA Tour – Barracuda Championship

J.J. Henry won the Barracuda Championship for the second time in four years Sunday, beating Kyle Reifers with a 15-foot eagle putt from the fringe on the second hole of a playoff.

After Henry holed the left-to-right breaking putt on the par-5 18th, Reifers missed a 10-footer.

"I knew obviously playing here that it's kind of coming down the mountain, if you will, from the front of that green. I knew there was a good chance the ball would get to the hole if I got it on line, and that's exactly what I did. It went right in the middle of the hole.

"I don't know how athletic I looked when I jumped up for joy, but it's a heck of a feeling when you make a putt like that. When you do it to win on the PGA TOUR is even that much more special."

The 40-year-old Henry also won the 2012 tournament. His other PGA TOUR title came in 2006 in his home state of Connecticut.

Sunshine Tour – Sun City Challenge

On Friday Keith Horne ran away with the Sun City Challenge, winning by five shots after carding a final round of 64 at Lost City Golf Course.

“I’m very proud of the round I played today, I hit the ball fantastically in all departments and really never put myself under pressure. I just kept going forward the whole time,” he said.

The 44-year-old picked up his eighth Sunshine Tour victory after finishing the R700,000 tournament on 13-under-par, leaving his rivals to fight for second place.

Horne got off to quick start when he birdied the first two holes of the round and went on to reach the turn in 32, moving two shots clear of overnight leader Andrew Curlewis.

“I hit some fantastic iron shots and managed to keep the momentum going by making those five or six foot putts, but they were all for birdie, and that was the good part,” said Horne.

Asian Development Tour – Aboitiz Invitational

Former Asian Tour number one Juvic Pagunsan claimed his second Asian Development Tour (ADT) win after romping to a commanding eight-shot victory at the US$100,000 Aboitiz Invitational on Saturday.

The 37-year-old Filipino, who held a share of the overnight lead, nailed six birdies to sign for a closing six-under-par 65 and a winning total of 20-under-par 264 at the Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club’s Legends course.

Compatriot Angelo Que, a three-time Asian Tour winner, carded a 72 to settle for second place with Thai duo Nirun Sae-Ueng and Pijit Petchkasem, who signed for 67 and 73 respectively at the Aboitiz Invitational.

Challenge Tour – Northern Ireland Open in Association with Sphere Global and Ulster Bank

Clément Sordet sealed a sensational maiden professional victory in just his fourth start in the paid ranks at the Northern Ireland Open in Association with Sphere Global and Ulster Bank after a dramatic finale in front of bumper crowds at Galgorm Castle.

The Frenchman fired four birdies and an eagle to card a five under par final round 67, completing a perfect start to his Challenge Tour career with a one-shot win over American John Hahn.

The 22 year old trailed by two going into round four but hit the front around the turn and never wavered with a flawless back nine to earn a 17 under total and become the second French winner on the Challenge Tour this year after his clubmate at Lyon Salvagny, Sebastien Gros.

“I honestly am living my dream,” he said. “I don’t even realise just yet that I even won, it feels amazing but I think it’s going to take time to sink in – maybe tonight or tomorrow when I wake up.

Pro Golf Tour – KOSAIDO Düsseldorf Open 2015

It was exciting until the last putt: Benjamin Rusch from Switzerland was ranked first from the beginning of the tournament until round three.

A double-bogey by Rusch on hole 10 gave the 23 year-old German Maximilian Röhrig the opportunity to move ahead of Rusch. But at the 17th hole Röhrig played another bogey.

With both players having scored a total of 4 under par after 54 holes it came to a play-off: On the first extra-hole Maximilian Röhrig won with par and celebrated his first win on the Pro Golf Tour.
