PGA Tour – Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide Insurance

Just when it looked like Hideki Matsuyama might miss out on his first career victory on the PGA TOUR, the 22-year-old birdied the 18th hole at Muirfield Village for a fourth straight day to shoot a 3-under 69. He then beat Kevin Na on the first hole of sudden death to claim the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide Insurance and move to 14th in the FedExCup standings.

Na, who finished off a 64 nearly two hours earlier, pulled his tee shot left on 18 in the playoff and watched it bounce into a creek.

Matsuyama, playing without a driver after the head snapped off when he gently slammed it to the ground following his tee shot on the 72nd hole, drove into a bunker and missed the green left. But he got up-and-down from the rough, flopping his third shot to 10 feet before sinking the par putt for the win.

European Tour – Nordea Masters

Thongchai Jaidee overcame Victor Dubuisson and Stephen Gallacher in a play-off to seal a dramatic victory at the Nordea Masters.

The Thai carded a closing 65 at PGA Sweden National, where a host of players – including World Number Two Henrik Stenson – saw their chances of victory come and go.

Having set the clubhouse mark at 16 under par, Jaidee then had to wait as the last four groups made their way down the par five last – with only Dubuisson and Gallacher able to reach his score.

On the first trip back down the 18th, Jaidee spun his third shot to three feet and, after seeing Dubuisson and Gallacher miss lengthy birdie putts, converted to seal a sixth European Tour title.

Japan Golf Tour - Gate Way to The Open Mizuno Open

Jang Dong-kyu of South Korea shot a 3-under 69 Sunday to win the Mizuno Open and qualify for the British Open.

Jang carded five birdies against a pair of bogeys to finish at 15-under, three shots ahead of Juvic Pagunsan of the Philippines who also qualified for the Open along with South Korean Kim Hyung-tae and Japan's Tomohiro Kondo.

The 25-year-old Jang will make his first appearance in a major at The Open Championship at Royal Liverpool from July 17-20.

Challenge Tour - D+D REAL CZECH CHALLENGE

Thomas Linard fired a superb 64 at Golf & Spa Kunetická Hora to claim a maiden professional title at the D+D REAL Czech Challenge.

Starting two shots behind the leading threesome, the Frenchman raced to the turn in 30 strokes, carding seven birdies in his first ten holes to elevate himself to the top of the board.

A further red figure followed at the 13th, before a bogey two holes later had looked like derailing his title chances. A ninth birdie of the day followed at the 16th though, which saw him finish at 19 under par and a stroke clear of Daniel Gaunt.

This is Linard’s first season on the Challenge Tour, having only claimed a spot on European golf’s second tier by €23 through last year’s Alps Tour Order of Merit. He clearly looks like he belongs though, and while his English was limited, his delight was clear to see.

Asian Development Tour - ICTSI Riviera Classic

Philippines’ Elmer Salvador showed his liking for winning on home soil when he cruised to a five-shot victory with a closing three-under-par 68 at the inaugural US$60,000 ICTSI Riviera Classic on Saturday.

The Filipino veteran’s winning total of 11-under-par 273 was his third victory on the Asian Development Tour (ADT) and also his third triumph on home soil at the burgeoning circuit which was established as the gateway to the premier Asian Tour in 2010.

Thailand’s Pavit Tangkamolprasert missed out on his second ADT win as he could only sign off with a 72 and had to share second place with England’s Peter Richardson who posted a 67 for a 278 total at the Riviera Golf and Country Club.

Korean Golf Tour - The 2nd Happiness Songhak Construction Open

Kim Woo-hyun was victorious at the The 2nd Happiness Songhak Construction Open gaining 6 ranking points moving from 944th to 584th in the World Ranking.

PGA Tour Canada – PC Financial Open

With a furious back nine charge and a clutch birdie at the 72nd hole, Clarkston, Washington’s Joel Dahmen shot a final round 68 on Sunday at Point Grey Golf and Country Club to win the PC Financial Open, the first event of PGA TOUR Canada’s 2014 season.

Dahmen claimed his first victory in his five seasons on PGA TOUR Canada, narrowly edging British Columbia natives Eugene Wong and Brad Clapp by a shot. The win moves Dahmen to the top of the Order of Merit and the race for The Five, who will earn Web.com Tour status for 2014.

The 26-year old former University of Washington Husky secured the win with a two-putt birdie at the last, set up by a brilliant approach with a hybrid from 226 yards out in a fairway bunker. Dahmen said the win helped exorcise some demons from a handful of missed opportunities at winning on TOUR last year.
