The three players finished on 14 under par for the tournament, one stroke ahead of Webb Simpson, and went into a sudden death play-off at the 18th. 23-year-old Fowler hit a 51-degree wedge to 4 feet, holed the putt for victory, a win which takes him to World Number 24, a jump of 15 positions.
