Sean O'Hair won the RBC Canadian Open after beating Kris Blanks at the first play-off hole at Shaughnessy G&CC, Vancouver, B.C. Canada. The pair had both finished on four under with a bogey on the replayed 18th hole proving enough for O'Hair to emerge victorious. Argentina's Andres Romero finished one shot back after a closing bogey denied him a spot in the play-off, with 2006 US Open winner Geoff Ogilvy and home challenger Adam Hadwin on two under. O'Hair's win takes him to World Number 60, a jump of 54 positions.

Alex Noren registered a comprehensive seven shot victory at the Nordea Masters in his native Stockholm. The 29 year old, who was quite brilliant in setting a course record 63 on Saturday, carded a closing 77 for a 15 under par aggregate of 273 at Bro Hof Slott. With this, his second European Tour victory of the 2011 season, following the Saab Wales Open Noren climbs to World Number 70, an improvement of 22 spots.

This week's other winners were Kim Kyung-Tae at the Nagashima Shigeo Invitational Sega Sammy Cup on the Japan Golf Tour,Joonas Granberg at the Worldwide Holdings Selangor Masters on the Asian Tour, Harris English at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational on the Nationwide Tour and Benjamin Hebert at the English Challenge on the Challenge Tour.
