Week 27 - 23 YEAR-OLD ANTHONY KIM WINS THE AT&T NATIONAL AND CLIMBS TO WORLD NUMBER 14
Anthony Kim won the AT&T National at Congressional Country Club in Maryland, his second PGA Tour win of the year. The 23-year-old, three shots off the lead at the start of the final round, shot a bogey-free five-under-par 65 to finish on 12-under 268 and win by two strokes from Swede Fredrik Jacobson. The victory takes Kim to World Number 14, an improvement of 6 positions.
Ross Fisher led from wire-to-wire and with a holed bunker shot for birdie on the 72nd hole secured a seven stroke victory at the European Open held at The London Club. This second career European Tour victory moves the Wentworth Club based Fisher up 47 positions to World Number 57.
Hidemasa Hoshino won the UBS Japan Golf Tour Championship Shishido Hills by five strokes from Brendan Jones and Takao Nogami. The win moves Hoshino to 171st in the Official World Golf Ranking, an improvement of 87 positions.
The week's other winners were David Horsey at the AGF-Allianz EurOpen de Lyon, his second win in three weeks on the European Challenge Tour and Josh Geary at the Saskatchewan Open on the Canadian Tour.
