Jim Furyk shot a 5-under par final round of 65, finishing with a 14-under total to capture the Canadian Open, his second PGA TOUR title of the 2006 season. Bart Bryant finished in second place one stroke behind. Furyk’s win takes him to World Number Two, his highest ever World Ranking.

Jim Furyk shot a 5-under par final round of 65, finishing with a 14-under total to capture the Canadian Open, his second PGA TOUR title of the 2006 season. Bart Bryant finished in second place one stroke behind. Furyk’s win takes him to World Number Two, his highest ever World Ranking.

Adam Scott won the Barclays Singapore Open on the Asian Tour in a three hole play-off with Ernie Els after the fourth round was cancelled late in the afternoon following two weather suspensions. Scott climbs one place to World Number 5.

Bradley Dredge won the Omega European Masters by eight strokes - the biggest margin of victory so far this season on The European Tour. The win takes the Welshman to World Number 64, an improvement of 27 positions.

This week’s other winners were Yang Yong-Eun at the Suntory Open on the Japan Golf Tour and Craig Kanada at the Utah Energy Solutions Championship on the Nationwide Tour.
