Runner-up Eduardo Romero moves up 16 places to a new career-best position of World No.19 and of the third-place finishers; Vijay Singh remains at No.8; Colin Montgomerie continues to climb as he moves up 4 to No.13 and Sandy Lyle improves 174 positions on his way to the world No.212 position.

On the US PGA TOUR this week, Charles Howell III became the 14th first-time winner on TOUR this season as he earned his first career victory at the Michelob Championship at Kingsmill Golf Club in Williamsburg, Virginia. The 23-year old from Augusta, Georgia improves 21 positions to No.39 on the World Ranking this week.

In this week’s other tournament, Roland Thatcher beat Aaron Baddeley by two strokes to win the Bank of America Monterey Peninsula Classic at the Bayonet Course in Seaside, California. Roland moves up to World No.616=.
